Wondering that myself . . . pool is already at 62MH and the net hashrate has not changed significantly since the pool opened . . . I'm sure alot of folks switched from solo to the pool but I'm thinking something is not setup correctly here, I would have expected a large jump in the net hashrate

do i really need cgminer?
once i started billioncoin -qt as a server, i am now at a lot 520 hashs per second, does that mean i am running it now correctly? or do i need to download cgminer
also i know i wont get much, i am just trying to learn how to set up these things until i get back from afghanistan at the end of the month, so right now i am just on a laptop doing i think CPU only scrypting
thanks for any info
also i just signed up with that pool, do i just put the address, port, username, and password in prgoram and hit poll mine?
Yes you will need cgminer to pool mine. ./cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.cipherpool.com:8838 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password ' Is how it will look when setup all correct

only prob i got is.... the coins making it to the account in pool in a little bit and only .6 in it..

Flexgroo, unless you are running $10,000+ of hardware, solo-mining using the qt is pretty much pointless right now. JohnDorien has a pool setup, better just use that. You won't get much, but at your hashrate, it will take weeks, maybe months for you to mine a single block.
