Can you mine without the qt-app?
EDIT: I actually have this question regarding several currencies - They have similar qt-based GUI apps that are used for solo mining, however, the systems I mine with don't have GUIs...how does one solo-mine without these applications (i.e. using cpuminer or cgmine, etc)

There is no virus in source, that's bullshit.
Sources are opened so you can test it yourself.
