Below is where you need to go to file complaints against coinbase.com, they have defrauded many people of money. The need to give us our bitcoins or money back (with interest)! No one answers the cellphone attached to coinbase’s sec filing and the voicemail is full. I tried calling it 100 times in a day, someone kept turning it off and back on, so they received the calls.

Coinbase.com has committed many counts of fraud and complaints need to be filed or they will just continue to commit fraud. Here is the definition of fraud, let the legal system be the judge:
1
a :  deceit, trickery; specifically :  intentional perversion of truth in order to induce another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right
b :  an act of deceiving or misrepresenting :  trick
2
a :  a person who is not what he or she pretends to be :  impostor; also :  one who defrauds :  cheat
b :  one that is not what it seems or is represented to be
"Fraud." Merriam-Webster.com. Merriam-Webster, n.d. Web. 17 Dec. 2013. <http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fraud>.

Trying to remain ambivalent about this. How are they defrauding you? Do they not state there is X delay when buying or selling coins and they reserve the right to cancel any tx they deem high risk? I'm honestly curious, as most of the time i see complaints about cb is because of the delay and people think they are playing arbitrage with their funds (and they may very well be).

They took almost $4,000 of mine in a BTC purchase. Have not issued the BTC, and as of today the transaction disappeared from my coinbase account, it is no longer in the history section. So I don't know whats going on with them. They have not responded to a single case I opened, first one was on Dec 1 when I had trouble with credit card verification, the pending charges didn't show up for 2 days. They didn't respond to that nor to the request on Dec 3 to be white listed, nor to any of my further correspondence. I'm going to have a friend of mine that lives in Losangeles drive over to the address on coinbase's SEC filing to find out whats going on. If I don't receive my BTC or money back within 30 days after the payment I am suing them. My attorney already sent a certified demand letter, but no one was available for signature and no one has picked it up.

They did the same thing to me... very similar.  They also profited almost 50k at another person's expense.  Here is just one of the many threads:

Did they cancel your transaction and you lost profit, or is your money completely gone? As of right now I have no clue what happened to my money except that coinbase.com has it and is not responding to any correspondence.

Another victim of coin base scam.  I really hope they get this all figured out.  I've had several orders canceled and the funds returned.  OK very frustrating when you lose profit due to increase price.  However, I have two cases open that are really making me nervous.  One purchase was returned because I was using savings account which won't work - almost 2 weeks later the funds disappear from a different account that I had one file when I first signed on!  That money hasn't been returned and I don't have any BTC to show for it.  $2400.00 in limbo.
Another purchased returned to the savings account but then withdrew again!  Same thing, no BTC to show for.  $1700.00
I got a reply to my first case that it was being forwarded for action.
This is the worst custom service I have ever had to deal with.  Holding money and not delivering a product?!  Seriously how do they get away with that shit?

Everyone, just chargeback all transactions with your bank or credit card with coinbase. that is the only way to get compensation from these thieves.  Your bank is your friend. they will get you your money back. Just tell them you didn't spend this money or something or wait forever for some kind of lawsuit, who knows how that will work if it even happens.

Filed the complaint with the bank.  They are going to front me the money and the investigation could take up to 45 days.  Have 2 bank accounts that I will have to do that with.  Not cool.  If they would just send a reply to let us know they are working the issues then at least I would feel better about it.  They need to fix themselves!

If coinbase is not paying attention to its users complaints then file complaints with its regulators until coinbase starts to listen to its customers. Coinbase could avoid the complaints if they just delivered what they said, and responded to customer issues. As of yet I am still out my money, bank is investigating but I didn't get the instant credit, and no response to any of my coinbase.com cases.

Hello, Olaf from Coinbase here.

I just saw this thread. I'm extremely sorry for the trouble people here experienced using our site! I believe some of these problems stemmed from our slow customer support during the November/December time frame. We were swamped with the 10-fold price increase. We now have a much larger team - I want to address any outstanding problems. Please let us know!

PM me or email support@coinbase.com - I want to work out any issues anyone is encountering.

Again, I'm sorry for any problems that occurred during the price run up. Let us know what we can do.

This is why I have never trusted exchanges, look at what happened with mtgox. Go with some virtual exchanges that have been around for years, with good credit, for example virwox that deals with Second Life / Bitcoin.

Virwox is the worst, they charge you insane fees for cryptocurrency.

In my experience coinbase has been pretty good, I've only used the instabuy feature though.
