I'm using an iMac with a 128 MB ATI Radeon GPU. I use Boot Camp to run Cgminer. The problem is that the cgminer doesn't seem to recognize that the GPU is there. Help, please!

Which exact Radeon model is it? 128MB sounds like something pretty old. If it's not one of the HD4xxx, 5xxx or 6xxx generation you won't be able to use it. If it is one of the generations above, you will need recent drivers and the AMD APP SDK 2.1 or newer to be installed.

I got the computer new in 2007, so It's pretty old, so I doubt it's one of the models you mentioned. How much would it be to buy one of the models listed? Would I be able to install it in my computer?

Well, good luck finding a decent mining card these days at a decent price, they have been all bought up by the new miners so there's a shortage of them. Unless you're willing to pay more than they're worth. besides I'm no expert regarding compatibility with your mac, or even if your model is upgradable at all.

I doubt the PSU on an iMac would support a Radeon HD 6990.

That, and it's hard to upgrade anything other than the RAM on a mac.
