I have a co-worker who has a buddy with bitcoins worth tens of millions since he was a millionaire before he even started with bitcoins and has held on since the beginning. No one knows for sure how many he holds though.
Then there's another co-worker of mine who told me his buddy lost his job and got a $9000 severance package at HP which he invested a portion in mining hardware and ended up with 2500 bitcoins when they were near $1000. He paid off a house and put $400K in a long term savings and still retains 700 BTC.
The kicker is that my co-worker even asked what all the computers were for when he went to his friends house and he said he was building gaming rigs....
Does anyone else have stories ?
