So this guy aka rohirrim (profile : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=133155) posts about selling his stuff here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321875.msg3893743#msg3893743

I contact him to buy the power supply (the rate was higher but that is ok to ask since it was his right as a seller).

He says he will have to look for the bill and then sell it later  .... We have a chat and I find the guy to be decent and ask him to give me the bill later for the power supply.

Being a small community I decide to trust the guy, pay him the amount and assume he would give me the bill later.

Now his power supply starts giving problems and I contact him - he still says he will look for the bill.

Over the next few days I try to contact him but he just keeps avoiding calls/messages and doesn't even bother much to respond back.

Meanwhile with the price of BTC dropping I kinda decide to give up on mining (since it would require more investment and anyways the coins I was considering to mine either had security issues or were pump and dump or would not give me the return on investment even with free electricity).

So I have a buyer willing to buy my card and power supply but I can not sell it because this guy just refuses to return calls or respond to messages either here or on his cell !!

So I would advice anyone buying equipment from him to be proceed with EXTREME CAUTION .

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !

PS: I know the guy has been active on the forums since the past 4 days atleast and not bothered to respond to calls/messages for the authentic bill. He is possibly mining some pump and dump coin. I would suggest not dealing unless he clarifies here.

Guys pls read this too before reading further: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=360722.msg4029507#msg4029507

Really the rate was higher? So why didn't you go to lamington road and get the stuff there?

I did explain him the worst case scenario if i did not find the bill.

Oh no, what i told you is that i still haven't found the bill. I asked you to take it to the shop and i will talk to them if they tried to harass you for the bill. This was on 15th December 2013. After that I did not receive any sms regarding any problems with the smps. I received 5 sms from you none mentiong problems with the smps. The latest one says you want to sell the smps to someone else.

What does it mean when someone says, I will let you know / call you back if interested? It means that if someone is interested then only he will call you back.

Oh so now your electricity became free again, good i backed off or you would have taken me for a ride.

You have sent me an sms about this today i.e. 18th december 2013, 4:26 PM. I will contact the shop and ask for a duplicate bill. As soon as I get it i will send it to you.

Quote

Yes buyers, you should proceed with EXTREME CAUTION while dealing with me or anyone else for that matter. I have only tried my best to make a smooth sale here. I have kept all the transparency in this deal from my side.

Sellers, you need to be warned too about buyers such as thenoblebot. I am a user like most of us here, I am not running a business here, I can only assist as much as I agreed and for a limited time. If i sold a computer component to someone, it doesn't mean I will have to train him / her to use it as well.

Buyers, please don't buy from me if you don't know to use something i am selling.

PS: I know the guy has been active on the forums since the past 4 days atleast and not bothered to respond to calls/messages for the authentic bill.

I have been logged in but not reading stuff as such. It's just that I don't want to speak to you on anything other than smps problem. No SMPS problem means i don't have to speak to you. You have sent me sms regarding the bill on 12th december 2013 and today i.e 19th december 2013. I have already told you how to go about if I can't find the bill. I am ready to talk to the shop and get your problem resolved if there is any.

After all this writing, to this I can just say hahaha what? I already told you on phone and many know from the other thread, i am done mining.

Any more clarifications, pls feel free to ask.

Damn you thenoblebot for making me write on such false accusations.

I was already facing the worst case scenario !! Your smps was giving me problems and my motherboard too was not starting as I already had mentioned on the phone. I even told you about the power fluctuation messsages on the phone.. were you waiting for my mobo to be fried by your smps before handing over the bill ?

And none of these are false accusations .. you simply refused to contact or be contacted until you were worried about your reputation here !!

Seriously stop making me repeat stuff ... I don't have the time to keep responding !! ... I have found a solution and messaged benson my email ... you can contact the shop you bough it from and ask them to send you a copy of the bill on your email ... forward it to benson and benson will forward it to me (if you can benson it would be nice of you to help resolve this situation cause its seriously just not making sense repeating the same again and again).

Kindly do the needful. Thats all i have to say on this matter (cant keep explaining everything again).

I would say that this matter can be easily resolved by contacting the original seller for a duplicate bill.

Now in the event that there is no bill involved, there are 2 options.

1. thenoblebot has to take the hit as he accepted the product without a bill.
2. rohirimm either finds the bill/ procures duplicate from original seller or covers the cost of any repairs on the SMPS for a agreed number of times until the original warranty period ends(if any).

Hi Benson,

For point no 1:
I appreciate your help in trying to resolve the matter. But one point should be noted that as part of the original deal it was agreed upon by both sides that the bill would be handed over (as rohirimm too has admitted). It was a matter of trust .

For point no 2:
Even though I have problems with the guy but asking him to pay would be unfair to him.

So I am just waiting for him to pm me a copy of the original bill (which should not be difficult to obtain from the shop). Will post the update as soon as I get it.

Thanks
rohirrim

Seriously this guy has an understanding problem ... Ill read it again : return on investment even with free electricity.

The investment refers to the cards/mobo/etc.

Hope you get it now at least that I DO NOT have free electricity.

Anyways still waiting for the bill, don't know why the shop guys are taking so long to send him an email copy. Hoping they do it sooner.

Nope, not yet.
That is why the Blockchain should be used for invoicing. Smiley

@thenoblebot: I don't care now. I know if i write 1 line about you, you will answer it in 4 lines and might use text formatting to conceal the truth. I have written down all the truth about this deal in this thread and the other one. People will know the truth. You may be able to mask it being a more active member on the forum. However, people dealing with you despite this will know in time that I was speaking the truth.

@Benson, here's some update on the bill thing.

19th dec 2013: emailed sales@primeabgb.com for the bill.
20th dec 2013: called primeabgb for the bill, spoke to billing rep. She told me to forward her the email to her inbox directly so i did.
21st dec 2013: spoke to her again, she told me she will send it in a few minutes. But she didn't.
22nd dec 2013: Being a sunday, I am not sure they will be open. However, i will still call them up to check the status as sunday being closed is not mentioned on their website. Will report here how it goes.

Yes I would surely like to get this resolved asap.
I am not able to get through to them on phone  Will try again after a few hours. I have also sent a reminder to the billing rep.

@rohorrim, stop saying stuff like "people will know the truth" and me concealing the truth by text highlighting (lol thats one of the funniest lines I have heard in a long time seriously).
Its all written above ... let everybody decide for themselves about the truth. Coming to the issue at hand - Been more than 3 days just to get an email copy of the bill. Would do me real good if you could hasten the process.

@Benson ,yea block chain for invoicing would be nice .. a bit off-topic but have you seen this http://bitcoinviews.com/its-official-im-hitched-and-bitcoin-can-prove-it-i-just-submitted-a-hash-of-my-marriage-certificate-to-the-blockchain/? Perhaps doing marketplace deals like this would be an awesome idea ? (in hindsight sure seems like one, instead of these hassles ) but then again it might just prove to waste a lot of addresses (unless the protocol is changed) if we use it for such small things. Maybe a technical thread on this would be interesting.
ps: im curious where to post about such a discussion since we do not have a technical thread ... we indians need to be more active on that front.
