Mining equip price and BTC price

I notice that most of the mining equipment out there is still pretty high. Anyone know if the prices come down when the BTC price goes down?

Mining hardware isn't pinned to the $, its to the BTC. If a piece of equipment will only mine 1 BTC in its lifetime before starting to cost you money due to electricity cost, the hardware is only worth 1 BTC - time/effort
