Let's play a little game. Up for auction is a physical coin I bought from a Yard Sale for $0.25.

Backstory: I stumbled across a Yard Sale near my home town and this Bitcoin physical coin caught my attention. After talking to the residence I picked up the coin and some computer parts for under $40. The old computer parts (including a hardrivex2) were her sons who moved away. I am praying this will be one of those dream stories of the long lost Bitcoin goldmine. The dream?

The Coin: Weight: 1oz Metal seems to be Gold plated. Markings on the coin: ADDS APPROVED MJB 2013.

Research: Quick Google search brings up a very common coin priced around $3-5.

"The souvenir Bitcoin, released in 2013, is covered with pure copper. It can’t be used a physical bitcoin wallet because it has no cryptography key. The 40 mm in diameter token is designed in cryptocurrency-style, in particular both sides of it is decorated with microchip images symbolizing virtual technologies." - Google

Starting bid: 0.00000001BTC
Min increments: 0.00000001BTC
Shipping: Free worldwide.
Sniping: No, each bid made in the last 15 minutes of the auction will extend the auction by 15 minutes.
Ends: 1 Week or Bitcoin Hits $10,000. Whatever comes first.
Note: Please don't ask me for 100 other pictures. The following is all I could find about the coin.

Update: Winner of Auction will receive a share of cryptocurrency if any is found on the hard drives. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3764802.msg37808314#msg37808314

This appears to be a Chinese copy.    If you search “casascius” or “physical bitcoin” on eBay, you will see this coin in the listings.

Not here to bid but will follow to see what that hard drive had on it.  Waiting to hear the eureka story of someone finding a .dat file from an estate sale or something, good luck to you.

I tried checking them but one is locked/encrypted and the other seems empty. I don't have much experience so I'm getting a buddy of mine to go over them.

As I've received two private messages about hard drives. I want to clarify my comment earlier about sharing anything found with the winner.

I hereby confirm and sign that I will share any crypto that is found on the hard drives with the winner of this auction.

The percentage share with the winner will be calculated as follows:

Calculation: Total USD Value / (Divided) 3 (Spazzer + Friend + Winner) x (Multiplied) Bid Amount as Percentage (Move 2 Decimals After First Non-Zero Number) / (Divided) Random Bitcoin Block Last Number Value

Say $10,000 worth of cryptocurrency was found and the winner of the action bid .00000500 BTC.

Example: (($10 000 / 3) * 50%) / 3 =  = $555.55

Explained: Cryptocurrency Found: $10,000 / (Divided) by 3 (Spazzer, Friend and Winner) x (Multiplied) 50% (.00000500) / (Divided) 3 (Block 523413)

Right now my buddy is trying to get into the locked/encrypted hard drive. The blank one seems unused, but he is trying to restore old backups on it. Running it through some stuff I don't even understand.

Winner of the Auction will receive the the Physical Coin and any crypto found through the above calculation. If no crypto is found I will happily send you the hard drives for your own examination if you want.

Edit: Fixed math. I might of made it really confusing... However I hope it will generate some fun and interest. People might bid interesting values to take advantage of % calculation, but at the same time the random block number can mess it all up.
