No Log Exists??? ???

In the post (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=12360), when I enter either

/Applications/Bitcoin.app/Contents/MacOS/bitcoin -server &
python /Applications/poclbm/poclbm.py -u username --pass password -d 0

Or

python /Applications/poclbm/poclbm.py http://username:password@api.bitcoin.cz:8332 -d 0

I keep getting the error about a log not existing. I'm not sure at all what that means. Can you offer any insight, please?
