Hi everyone,
From what I understand I can only buy dogecoins from some other user of dogecoins.
Does everyone set his own currency? Where did he get the coins.
What is the most safe way to buy them (I live in Belgium)
&
What is mining and is it possible with a crappy laptop?
Thank you very much

You can use exchanges sites like cryptsy or coinedup, if you don't mind them being a bit slow... Anyway, of course all coins come from other users. Every bar of gold comes from someone who mined it after all, same here.

Uh?

From how every coin is generated in a cryptocurrency: via mining. There is no a "central authority" giving coins lol

It is how the whole thing is secured, and also create the new coins. With your laptop? Not exactly a good idea, you will overheat it and make like no profit...

About the currency, what I meant was - let's pretend one dogecoin is 0.00067 usd does he have to sell them for this amount of money of can he sell it for like 0.00050 usd?

I know someone and he was really in to mining with bitcoins and he made descent money. Is it possible with dogecoins or not? (because of the low price)

You can sell your coins at whatever price you want of course, but you have to find a buyer. You can try to sell 1 dogecoin for 1000$ if you want, but of course no one will buy it!

I can't read the future, if in the future dogecoin price rise more and more then yes. Bitcoin price skyrocketed, that's why people made tons of money with it.

Yes, you must buy them from someone who has them of course but now they are on an exchange, too; Crytpsy.

https://www.cryptsy.com/users/register?refid=26264

That's a referral link if you don't mind. Mining is generating coins and I don't think it's very profitable with a crappy laptop, do you pay for your electricity?

Yes I do, but I have unlimited internet so I have that going for me. I'm thinking of investing 40 euro (about 58000 bitcoins with current currency)
What can I do with my coins to make more? Nothing? So i'm just investing & waiting? =)

Pretty much. Or you could buy alt coins and speculate on those.

Can you please explain the difference between alt coins and dogecoins?
I see dogecoins are growing fast so i'm hoping to make some profit in the future.

No it is not possible anymore to mine with a "crappy laptop" because of the increased difficulty, NightMareDoge.
