Is there any difference between mining on a p2p pool or mining on a "conventional" one?

May be one of these is specially well suited for a given profile of miner?

What would be the best choice for a miner having just a couple of low-end computers?

You know you can't be competitive with a low-end computer whatever the pool you are in.

I know, but I want to know what is my best option... if any.
