How do I get started with bitcoins?  Buy and Selling something.

Do I need to create an account at  CoinBase?

What do I need to do so that someone can send me a BitCoin?
Do I need an account somewhere?  How do I get that account?

What I what to be able to do,  is to have my tenant pay his rent using BitCoin.
What do I have to do to get this to work?

If I need to redeem some of my BitCoins for cash, How do I do that?
Are cash redemptions reported to the IRS?  Is there a paper trail?

I want to get off the grid.  Will bitcoins do that for me?

Yes, start reading.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Obviously you hadn't.

People spend a lot of their precious time researching, reading, etc. to get on top of these things.  You hop on the forum as some random unknown, and expect everyone to simply hand out any and all knowledge that they've worked hard to gain - while you've obviously done nothing?  Get real.

Yes Apothesoft you need an account to start trading BTC in order to sign up, not necessarily at Coinbase, once finished these steps you will need to send some fiat into the account then you can ask for a withdraw and finally you don't need to care about the IRS thingy but you can still asked them for more specific information Grin
