Only registered so I could say thanks to the cudaminer guys but can't post on their thread so I'll do it here, and hopefully help some other newbies too.  Wink

I just updated to the 12-18-2013 version of cudaminer and my 2 x GTX670 FTW card rig and I'm seeing an massively increased hashrate from ~420KH/s up to ~630KH/s!

My settings are +40Mhz GPU overclock, -500Mhz memory underclock, everything else default. Cudaminer settings that work for my cards are:

-H 1 -i 0 -m 1 -l K14x16

Temps are up from the old version where I'd run at 69C all day long to 76-79C, I get possibly very slightly better speed with K7x16 but it makes the cards run 1-2C hotter which can tip them over into the next GPU clock throttle point so it's more variable.

Maybe still not up there with the AMD GPUs (especially considering the purchase price of the cards) but I bought this machine almost a year and a half ago for gaming not mining and given the GTX670 only draws 180W per card, which by my calculations is about 1.72KHash/W not far off the 7950, I'm pretty happy with that.

NOTE: You need CUDA 5.5 which means you need pretty recent NVIDIA drivers, update them if you're not seeing a performance increase from the previous version.

indeed.
My GTX580 went from avg of 139KHs to 216KHs after the upgrade.
Will donate to those guys, nice job

Can I ask why you underclocked the memory?

low memory clock doesn't affect the hashrate.

Yup, under-clocking the memory of the cards doesn't affect the hash rate but it does make the CPU over-clock more stable which cuts down on HW errors, and it also slightly reduces the TDP (a couple % max, but hey every Watt counts Grin).

I saw a wiki recently that showed the best command line options for nearly every GPU made to date with khash stats and stuff. Wheres that at?

Thanks for the cuda update topic. I had not noticed there was one yet. I have been busy trying to soak up all this cointalk that I have missed out on over the last couple of years. Of course I was slightly disappointed that it was for Kepler instead of my two GTX 580s, but since Cefula had some improvements why not give it a chance.

It looks like I am seeing a similar result with about 100-150khs improvement per card. But I am also seeing another 100 watts being consumed which means higher temps and more fan noise.

This is my first post, so hoping to get whitelisted. Smiley

@OP I'm running the non FTW version of the EVGA 670 and if I overclock my card or use the new autotune suggested kernel I get a crazy amount of rejects.

Currently running the k14x16 based on the old autotune suggestion with stock clocks and getting 215ish kh/s, trying to figure out how to push it more without upping the rejects, any ideas from you tweaking your cards?

Yeehaw!  Grin

The new Cudaminer (18-12-2013) is amazeballs!

My GTX 660ti jumped from 208kh/s to 300 kh/s. I used the following settings:

32-bit version .bat file: cudaminer.exe -C 1 -l K14x16 -i 0 -o stratum+tcp://primary.coinhuntr.com:3333 -O username.workername:password

My OC'd card specs:
Core 1202MHz
Mem: 3247MHz
Fan Speed: 70% (Still doable)
Temps: 79C

So for anyone mining with nVidia. please make sure you update your miner!

Just tried the -H 1 -i 0 -m 1 -l K14x16 on my 670.  Went up about 50 KH/s on each card.  I do see my CPU went up from around idle to about 50% usage.  Also the accepted lines that I see now read 100%.  Before that would read 99.50% or around that.  (not sure if that is better or not)

On a side note:  Does anyone have a link that explains the readout you get when mining?  Like the lines that scroll.

And thanks for the update.  Will run now for a while and see how it works!
