Hi, I just read a very good article about the altcoins. You can chack it, find your prefered one and see where to trade with it. Probably it will be upgraded with more coins. What is your favorite?
And here is the link as well Smiley http://bitcoinmagazine.com/9000/overview-altcoin-market/

Best place is to mine it yourself.

Or if you want there's another alternative called begging, and you basically just beg for coins.

Most likely though that's the most shameful way of attaining any currency of any kind (not working for it yourself).

Go to the alt currencies subforum and there are designated begging threads.  Post your wallet address there.

any suggestions?

People give them away in promotions here all the time. When you get out of newbie jail just head on over to Alt currencies, or check out the services section.

Agreed, this is also a good way. I just started a 20,000 Dogecoin giveaway thread over there in the Alt currencies section, check it out:

I agree, this is the best way, but not begging, but giveaway threads  Wink
