Hi,

I have a 280x and a 7950 I got from a friend .... I am new to mining .... how do I configure cgminer for the two cards ? (In my device manager it is showing only 7900 series ... did it not detect my 280x ?) .... please help ... invested loads in dis ...any tutorials any directions ?

Try Cudaminer for your Nvidia card.

You have to run 2 instances of cgminer for every single card... try with -d 0 and -d 1

Interesting. If we have 3 cards, do we just use 3 separate command line arguments with -d 0 and -d 1 and -d 2 tagged on to the code. And if I'm reading this correctly, then it would be easy to run the 3 graphics cards on different coins, correct?

Let us know what kind of hashrate you are getting from your 280x when you get it sorted out. Is this the rebranded 7970 ghz model essentially?
Additionally, I am seeing more miners suggesting cudaminer...if you happen to compare cgminer with cudaminer..or GUIminer...would like to get your personal take on it as well.
After playing with cgminer for a few months, I simply moved to GUIminer due to its low tech needs (not a techie at all myself).
