Hey there,

just wanted to say hello.
I started mining yesterday, basically because of curiosity, therefore I might not be using the coolest rig around.
Basically it is a Xeon Quad with a Radeon HD4850, which gets about 64 to 66 MHash/s.

Though I find the topic quite interesting and I am looking forward to crawl the board for more in-depth information and expertise.

So see you around!

Hey there.
Well I just followed the steps mentioned on the page on the pool, i am using.
You can see these here.

Hardest thing to figure out, was that cgminer didn't work for my system, so I gave guiminer a try and it worked.
In case there is a particular step, which troubles you, feel free to drop a pn ;-)
