Hi all here at BTC talk!

I only just started mining last night as I've been drawn in with the comical coin which is Doge! So this is a hello and a chance to learn of any simple mistakes or things I may overlook for successful and profitable mining!

I'm only currently mining Doge and using an AMD 7950 and an FX Octo-core CPU.

Best advice I can give, no matter the currency, keep track of your wallet.  You may realize one day that your comical coin, no matter the amount, maybe worth something and find yourself feeling rather foolish for the lack of care.  Beyond that I am also here to see what others have to say!

One mistake is keeping the coins you mine. You dont know if you mine profitably if you dont sell the coin for more than electricity cost of mining. But tommorow price can be almost 0 especially for new or small altcoins

yeah definitely save your wallet.dat and maybe put it on a USBstick
