I've been having a debate with a guy on twitter who has been attacking cryptocurrency thought it might be of interest to some people here.

Do you think I have stated my arguments well?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

He's a Chemistry tutor. He clearly knows his shit.

He clearly has a personal bias, perhaps irrational. I feel no need to confront these kind of people with a positive version of that. Just sounds like an argument about religion that way.

Let him be Smiley

I tweet crypto nonsense: https://twitter.com/DunningKruger_

i really don't understand people who claim Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme, by their definition every single thing you invest / buy in is pretty much a pyramid scheme. Debt, Housing, land, Gold, silver, stocks even fiat.

Ask him to design us a currency for a homeostatic environment, because we're going to use it whether he likes it or not.

Why don't you ask him? The more people that engage with him the better. He actually admitted that he is being paid to make his tweets though he won't say by whom.

Thank you but I don't know if he is a troll. To me a troll is someone that types nonsense in all caps. People that disagree with you are not necessarily trolls. He is just pushing for centralization of control of the money supply which is not something I would support until I see valid arguments for it.

He obviously is trying to scare people away from cryptocurrency.

It is important to identify what arguments the other person is making however you have stated your arguments well.
