Looks like at least three moderators have been busted including Libertas in Ireland.

wow, that didn't last very long.

It's still up and running apparently. Maybe there was a vulnerability in the forum software or something.

Guys I was arrested yesterday and out on bond now. But something is fucked! I know I’m risking more warning you guys and my attorney doesn’t even want me on the internet but you guys need to know this. When I was in the interview room they showed me all sorts of shit that they should not know or have access to including conversations I’ve had with buyers and even [the Silk Road 2.0 administrator known as the Dread Pirate Roberts]. I don’t fucking understand.. and when I was in there I was at a loss for words. Something is definitely wrong and they have the ability to see things on here only mods or admins should like [bitcoin] transfers and a dispute I had.

Maybe they gained access by exploiting the forum avatars like on here haha. Is is interesting to find out how they busted them or got that info. Bet a lot of people are shitting bricks over there right now  Cheesy.

Libertas was on the old SR so maybe they already had some info on him.

it's funny how SR 2.0 gets cracked down, and it barely makes the bitcoin news cycle these days.

It's because it would directly contradict all their celebrations about the first silk road being taken out and 'ending' illegal operations in Bitcoin etc. you guys forget how carefully controlled the media is, by supporting Bitcoin you indirectly become an enemy of the Federal Reserve especially if you're doing something illegal and these guys are a lot more careful than the U.S government ever are.

I was never a member of Silk Road myself, but wouldn't members (and especially mods) want to stay away from any iteration of the official Silk Road? Wouldn't they want to jump ship and participate on a or many new sites that were built as competitors (and I guess replacements) to Silk Road?

Why? Silk Road has the rep... it's essentially a brand now. Plus, it takes a lot of time for people to trust these other markets that spring up. People were even paranoid about the new SR being a honeypot, but I'd probably have more trust in a new incarnation of SR than a brand new site coming out of nowhere.

What about this?

Sometimes I really doubt for whom these law enforcement agencies are working for. I think the Mexican drug smugglers are funding them, as their business have been hit hard by SR 2.0 and other online black markets.

Well I'm sure he was smart enough to invision it. If you're going to create a currency and hope for it to be successful, then people are going to use it for all sorts of things good and bad. He did originally mention seeing it possibly becoming useful to libertarians.

Or maybe Satoshi is DPR, we can't know Grin

After reading a bunch of articles about DPR and how he carried himself (and how he finally got caught), I can easily confirm that he's not Satoshi. Not even by a long shot...

That is a ridiculous argument, which has been dealt with before. Satoshi was an intelligent programmer and statistician. DPR was more or less intelligent, but he has no background in statistics and economics.
