I sold some bitcoins recently on Mt Gox and I want to transfer the money to my bank account to buy some Xmas gifts. Because this is the first time I used Mt Gox, I sent them the required information to get verified about a month ago. When I log in, a confirmation is displayed saying that they received my request and it will take 10 days to verify my account. I sent them a few emails asking why it takes so long but I only get a standard reply. It looks like a scam and I am afraid I lost my money. Do you think that Mt Gox can be trusted?

Recently Gox have been having some withdrawal issues due to a huge amount of new members joining.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it an out and out scam but would advise people to stay away from Gox for the time being and try selling to some locally - Bitstamp would be the next best thing.

Just keep at them and they should get back to you, fingers crossed it should get resolved.
