You can see at top of coinwarz.com the price of bitcoins at different exchanges. Most of the time Vircurex has the lowest and MtGox has the highest price.

Are these price for buying bitcoins or selling them?

Why is the price difference so much at different exchanges.I mean obviously people will buy from the exchange who can give the lowest price right?

These price difference can make a total difference for trading bitcoins for other coins too.

Volume, and confidence in an exchange.
I know Gox has had it's share of problems and coinbase doesn't treat some people fairly but BTC-E and Vircurex have gotten hacked and had people fucked over.

Vircurex has no deposit nor withdraw of fiat and has not for some time.

Though some say the reason Gox's prices for BTC are so high is because although they do in theory have withdraw of USD in practice good luck getting your fiat out, at least without having to wait weeks or months for it. So the theory was that everyone on Gox who wants fiat buys bitcoins, at any price depending how desperate they are to get the fiat and how vast their profits were that they are trying to extract into fiat.

If that theory was correct ought it not also apply to Vircurex? Hmmm...

Coinbase is ok so far. Just had one delay on payment and had to complain at support and twitter to get it sort of on time. The future of digital currency is still not stable.

I still dont have answer to my question.I mean like can we buy for low price from one exchange and sell for high at another exchange?

Than again why would people buy from me for a high price when they can buy for low from the very exchange I bought.

It's called arbitrage trading. It's very likely there are people practicing it already.

I'd buy that for a dollar bitcoin!
