can someone explain what these are please?

example, new user joins up, deposits some coins example litecoins, he trades them for btc, he now wants to withdraw the btc to offline wallet, new user has no cryptsy points on account,

does this mean he cannot withdraw the btc to offline account because he does not have any cryptsy points?

No, from what i gather they are bonus points that you can redeem/trade for BTC. It's a way of getting back some of the fees you spend by trading on cryptsy. The down side is that they are messing up the cryptsy points. If you are negative cryptsy points you can't withdraw anything from site. Its just another way for them to keep your currencies there.

They took out points with one of their magical audits and put me in the negative on cryptsy points and now I can't withdraw anything from the site. I've opened a ticket with their support about 12hrs ago and have heard nothing about it yet. As soon as I can, I'm getting everything out of their control and switching to a different exchange. I suggest you do the same.

Good luck!!!

jesus thats like ransom, in order to withdraw you need to be in a positive points balance, thats going to kill the exchange if they continue to hold people at ransom.

iv no intrest in poxy cryptsy points, all i want to do is trade my coins, pay the appropiate fees and withdraw them when I like.

how does one become negative in points?, its like there demanding you purchase the cryptsy points in order to take back what is yours, its extorsion! no other way to put it.

cryptsy points should be a choice one has to buy/sell them just like all other coins.

there already making money from each trade done.

this is just mind boggling
