>> The coin's got 13.5 BILLION EAC supply.

Please don't pay attention to hard market cap because it takes very long time to get that limit. There will be very limited amount of coins produced everyday.

Think of Bitcoin? 5 years: 12 millions. Year 2140: 21 mil.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Are the rates not different? By rough estimate EAC would reach near its cap before 2140, at least over 1.5 billion by next year or two.

if you are bagholding EAC, and need to convince buyers that they need to pay more by spamming noncence, youre gonna have a bad time.

Ha ha, my HR is low. I don't get many EAC as you may think. You can mine EAC for 0 BTC right? Do it. You can have 1 million EAC for 0 BTC.

Why asks EAC miners to sell at cheap price?

I believe that miners are holding EAC until it hits an exchange. It is 3 days old coin. Why do miners have to sell it out in a rush?

I just want to wait and see how EarthCoin gains community attention. If it does not work, you may buy a lot of coins at very cheap price for sure.

It is a gamble

honestly .03 for 1million EAC is a very generous valuation considering the people behind this coin and total supply...it's likely to barely break even on an exchange  Roll Eyes

You will be waiting for a while mate Smiley

Might be easier and quicker to mine a million than it would be for you to get 1M for 0.04 BTC. Good luck!

Deal. lets do it like this but.

You get me 1M Quark, Novacoin, Nxt or Orbcoin for me and then we can trade at that same rate? im just using your logic of everything should be cheap if its been premined by the devs to support the coin so you shouldnt have a problem getting those quantities at that rate right?

false, all those coins are on an exchange, being on an exchange alone adds tremendous value.

EAC
300Million pre-mine
uncertainty of ever being listed on exchange
Over 1.5 Billion total supply in the near future
Run by devs who have killed coin value before(which is the biggest hit to the coins value)

=

low initial valuation..  Wink

Take it easy man. I don't think EarthCoin will be the last altcoin. If you don't like EAC, don't mine it or trade it. Miners and traders can exchange coins together: BTC/EAC, EAC/LTC, EAC/DMD, EAC/PPC. It is the game that we both play together when waiting for a winner.

I like EAC because of

+ its name
+ transaction message support
+ interesting monetary policy: innovative right?
+ fast transaction: 60 seconds are good. 30 seconds are crazy
+ fast adaptive diff adjustment which keeps network more stable
+ big enough coins make people  spend it other than hoard it (as in Litecoin or Bitcoin)

I don't like EAC because

+ PoW is more prone to 51% attack then PoS or PoW/PoS combination (like in Diamond - DMD)

However, don't take it so seriously. Let market and community decide if it can last for years  Tongue

+Good transparency in release
+Good chunk of coins were given to the people in giveaways
+Well promotion in the twitter
+The number of coins being produced per day are very less.

i have about 130k EAC. don't want to sell them...because people say it's a scam get-rich-fast coin.
i mined it a bit because i liked the images and the graph on launch post.
i don't think that they worth a lot, only the energy and the mining+devel. work invested in them..

one big problem with the launch of this coin:
the earthcoind daemon (on release time) seems to have a bug.
so everyone who mined in a pool didn't make much EAC, while people mining solo are the EAC 'millionaire'

i switched back and forth from pools, and solo.. hit some blocks solo with earthcoin-qt.
hit some blocks on pools - none of them got registered in the pool's UI.

don't buy my EAC  Shocked
