I know nothing about games. Newegg indicates this free coupon with some cards.
Does this have any resale value at all?
I won't use it but if it's easy to sell then what sort of price would it get?

It's probably too early for any to be listed.. the game won't be released in North America until 8-23-11 after all.  It's a highly anticipated game, so it should have some sale value.  .................... or......you can always gift it to me on STEAM...  j/k Wink

What will it's retail price be when it's released?

I think it's supposed to be $49.99 on PC... price will probably vary from retailer to retailer as usual.

Here's the link. Seems to be Human Revolution.
Looks like I have to use the coupon with the card purchase.
So I guess that means I get a game not a coupon and then would have to sell the game.
It says $49 retail. Oh well. Just thinking it may lower the cost of the card a little for me.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16800995110

(Forum section: well, it has to do with current card offerings. This is with a HD6870. But I may just look for some used 5830s - as that's what I have now anyway.)

If this promotion works like the one that ran last month for a free Dirt3 copy (which I got with an HD6870 also) then this is how it works:

1) The coupon ships folded into the invoice with your card
2) Go to the AMD redemption website and enter the code on the coupon
3) AMD emails you a game key to activate the game on Steam
4) Play and have fun

So to me as a gamer the free copy coupon is worth ~50USD in trade, barter, dollars or BTC
The $49 price comes off the coupon in the shopping cart on NewEgg, so it doesn't affect your upfront cost, but I don't think there is anything preventing you from trading or selling the coupon/code after you receive it.

In my case, I wanted Dirt3 so it was effectively a $50 discount off the top.

I have either sold or gifted about a dozen different games from similar coupons in the past month... this one should work the same way.

Thanks Guys! This was all new to me.
I've never used Steam either. Ha ha.

From what I've read here I may be better off staying with the 5830 rather than 6870. It seems it performs a little better due to better tweakibility (but uses a bit more power too).
