As most of you should know, Bitfloor sent out emails early in mid-November telling account holders to submit information for withdrawals by November 30th in order to receive refunds. Yeah, it's taken months to begin maybe returning money and but they expect account holders, aka the victims to be fast... great job.

Well, I sent that form right after receiving the email and have yet to hear anything. I don't even know if my address verification is approved. The Bitfloor website says that my balance should display $0.00 when they have submitted my request to IAFCU for processing, but my balance remains unchanged even after over one month.

I am fed up with these incompetent fools. It has been months since the closure and I have yet to receive a penny. It's bad enough the Roman decided to deduct the $10 IAFCU fee from balances instead of paying it himself (if that's not illegal, it should be), but these delays are making me wonder if he's just buying time to avoid staying out of prison.

Support emails sent MONTHS ago have not been answered, and I am puzzled by the fact that they are not using the simplest withdrawal method available: Bitcoin. I made my deposit via Bitcoin and having to go through this BS was never part of the bargain.

Has anyone received their money or otherwise heard from Bitfloor?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I sent an email to Bitfloor:

Hi, can I get a status update on my withdrawal? My balance remains unchanged.

Thanks.

I'll keep you posted on what happens.

November? They sent those emails out in April. That sounds like they sent you an email for a last chance to withdraw. I don't know of anyone that replied to those emails that didn't get their money back months ago. I got mine back in August, there's even a thread on reddit when people got their money back.

Honestly. Here's the email I got:

Quote
Hello, you are receiving this email because you still have USD funds in BitFloor. We kindly ask you to login to your account and fill out the required information to receive your refund check; BitFloor is no longer operating and is returning all remaining USD funds.

We are processing refunds for domestic AND international users in the form a check mailed to your address. There is a 10.00 USD fee associated with this charged by IAFCU and will be deducted from the final amount you receive. This is the ONLY way to receive your refund, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Please login by NOVEMBER 30th and fill out the form so that we can send you your refund check via mail. If your USD balance is 0.00 USD we have already processed your refund and mailed you a check.

You MUST login and fill out the form to receive your refund check.

If you have questions please email support@bitfloor.com (do not reply to this email).

- BitFloor Refund Processing

and the date was 2013-11-14 14:15. I searched all my emails for Bitfloor and this is the only one (other than stuff from before they closed).
