I have not been here recently but have learned a lot about the system of merit.

I made several rules how to write posts to get merits:

1) Write posts on a topic that you know a lot, do not write posts on topics unfamiliar to you.
2) Your post should be useful to people who read it.
3) Posts should be interesting and not long.

I think if you follow these rules then you will get a lot of merit.
Sorry for my bad English!

First, wrong section, you must write it in "Meta". Second, how a post will bring you a merit? Exactly by not writing this kind of posts (there already hundreds like yours in Meta)

You gave really good guidance in order to get the merit! I think if you adhere to these rules, then you can get a lot of merit and succeed.

But I don't find any merits under your profile,so your rules are still not enough to get merit so develop it more.

Simply if your merit add something useful to that discussion then it may get merit but chance of getting merit for all the good posts are very small because of less number of merit sources.

And this topic does not belong to be here,it need to be in meta section.

Important rule: Don't write post just to get merit. It will not work. Believe me, I tried and failed Roll Eyes
Do not think about merits. Just read, learn and try some news things. When you gain some experience, you will start writing good and valuable posts and merits will come.

It may be helpful but has it helped you? As I see in your profile you have only few merits, and that is not expected to someone giving tips on how to get merits. Earn a lot of merits first before you tell us what to do. Although you are right but unfortunately you were not able to justify it.

You know how not to get merits? When you said several rules but you only wrote three.

Contradicting number 3. Posts can either be long or short depending on how one can express themselves. Though it's better to be clear and concise, it's also important to cite details and examples to support your statements.

Congratulations everyone! From what i can see, The merit system has done the work it set out to do, i.e, encourage quality posts significant to the topic at hand, and that is the true value added for all of us, the rest, just luck, whereby ones post gets read by the right person who can appreciate and has the power and awareness to give merit.

Actually, as long as it is impactful to someone, that someone can already give you merits. But yes I agree with what you just said. Last time, I posted about something about binance on how can you ensure that you will receive your deposits. Because sometimes your binance address changes. And I got a merit for posting something like that.

In fact, if you only have a good command of a certain field, then you can use your knowledge to write a post that is helpful to people. It's not hard. The hard part is how your post can be discovered. As far as I know, many posts that are helpful to people, they are in the local section but nobody cares.

1. Of course we must understand the topic that we will discuss because if we do not understand then it will only be garbage
2. Of course it should be useful for everyone (but very curious about the posts you create here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3672526.msg36763934#msg36763934 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3464201.msg36216600#msg36216600 I think it's just a regular post without giving any information but why you got merit Huh
3. The length or short of a word depends on how the insider explains and in my opinion it does not matter

Well, in theory yes, you have to write some quality posts to get a merit.
but in reality, giving merit is like giving trust to someone. this is because merit is available limited.
you can only send 50% of your received merit from others.
