I had an old bitcoin wallet that I've since emptied and already claimed the Bitcoin Cash from. The BCH has also been transferred to a different wallet, but I recently re-scanned the private keys to the original bitcoin wallet to claim Bitcoin Gold, and noticed that the BCH still appeared as claimable. How can this be if it's already been transferred to a completely different wallet? Do the private keys remain the same with BCH even across wallets somehow??

Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

No. If it's already been removed then you can't reclaim it again from a different wallet. Otherwise you could duplicate coins and effectively destroy the Bitcoin Cash market. It's probably a visual bug and if you try and withdraw any of the coins there will be an error.

If not and you can withdraw coins then you need to report this bug as soon as possible to prevent abuse.

you probably are using a wallet(software) that isnt synced.  so its showing out of date info

best way to check if the balance of ADDRESSES is real by taking the ADDRESS and using a block explorer to check the balance.. or the longr route. let the wallet(software) update and sync

OK I tried claiming some and it won't work so I guess it was displaying the BCH as still claimable for some reason even though it had already been moved.

Of course not!
If it has already been removed of course you can't claim it again from a different wallet, just imagine how easy it would be to duplicate money ^^

Indeed, I thought I might have encountered some weird bug or something.
