Hi Everyone,

After doing some researching and making some "demo" trades, I've decided that I want to start short trading. I'm based out of the UK so getting good exchanges here is pretty much impossible. I've decided that the easiest way to do it would be to trade it on a "dollar" exchange and then just withdraw all the btc after I'm done short trading. My main question here is; What exchange would you recommend for short trading BTC?

Thanks,

Teka

I signed up at campbx because they claim to allow short sales. But turns out I don't think they do. In any case I'd recommend not going there because they are full of excuses and delays.

I use bitfinex, they are a good company.

They eventually will allow margin trading, but do not currently.

I'd recommend being extra careful when it comes to things like this. Make sure you have a thorough read through this forum to check out other peoples experiences to make sure that any such exchange is legit.

BTC-E.com allows short selling via metatrader 4 platform with up to 3:1 leverage.

Charting example

Works just as well as any MT4 platform I've traded fiat currency pairs with.

BTE-e also offers crypto currency pairs other than BTC/USD

In case the text is to small/unclear

BTC/USD

LTC/USD

LTC/BTC

NMC/USD

BTC/EUR

LTC/EUR

BTC/RUB

LTC/RUB

Anyways, hope this helps.

It use to be 1:4 but i think it caps out at 1:2.5 now due to some past liquidity issues.

we have short and margin features but not open to public yet. most users do not recognize/manage the risks associated properly ...
