Feedback welcome, I'll be doing some dev on it over the next few days/weeks, as well!

There's been some good feedback on reddit as well: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1tg2io/releasing_a_new_sms_alerts_for_bitcoin_oh_its_free/

The site is: http://smscoincheck.com/

Mainly geared toward USA (for now). Simply send a text message and get the current price back.

Just added Coinbase to the list.

Now supports mtgox, btc-e, and coinbase.

More exchanges and currencies coming soon!

Good job on this! How do you intend to pay for the costs of hosting and other things? Do you have a donation wallet?

I have a donation wallet listed, and also a donation button from coinbase.

I'm not worried about the costs too much, it's a service that should be free.

Looks like a great service, any chance that it could be made in to a worldwide service?

I'll take a look at their API, but it should be no problem!

Yup, I'll add that one too!

"Technically" it is worldwide, you'll just get zapped with fees from your carrier. However, if there are certain countries I get requests from, I can add a number from said country.

Looking at their API, they don't have USD support yet. My service only does btc/usd pair right now. I will be changing it up so that you can specify a pair later on.

Bitstamp is added now!

If you figure out the magic to get cryptsy's api to reliably work I'd love to hear from you.  I was building something and could not reliably get it.  And as a bonus each time I polled it, it was something like 1.5MB.  Clowns...

Will definitely be using this. This has been needed, and will definitely donate sometime after I use it for a while.

I spoke too soon. Their API is weird. I *could* pull BTC/USD *if* they had it.
