Proud? WTF? Stinks of ego or ignorance. I know pedants can be a bore but I'm bored and wondered exactly what pride is as defined by OED.

From the Oxford English Dictionary at oed.com. (bold added by me)

proud, adj., n., and adv.
1. Having a high or exalted opinion of one's own worth or importance. Usually in a negative sense: disposed to feeling superior; having inordinate self-esteem; haughty, arrogant.

2. Of an action, a feeling, etc.: arising from or expressive of pride.

3. Feeling greatly honoured, pleased, or satisfied by something which or someone who does one credit; acutely aware of some honour done to oneself, taking pride in something. Also more generally (chiefly in early use): gratified, pleased, glad (now regional). Freq. with of, infinitive, or that-clause.

4. Having a sense of what befits, is due to, or is worthy of oneself or one's position; characterized by self-respect; feeling or showing a proper pride.

I'm not proud to own my bitcoins, but I'm definitely happy to be participating in something that could potentially revolutionize the world, esp. in poorer nations.

Haha, maybe 'smug' would be a better word:

smug  (smg)
adj. smug·ger, smug·gest
Exhibiting or feeling great or offensive satisfaction with oneself or with one's situation; self-righteously complacent.

I believe any amount is positive. It shows support for Bitcoin.

That's right, any ammount will do. Even 1BTC is a lot, it depends how old you are and where you live. In most countres 1BTC is more than minimal monthly wage.

Successfully achieving stable containment of BTC0.01

I add further that holding a spendable amount is a good milestone. (Standalone amount of less than BTC0.0001 is currently unspendable)

Did you find my posts helpful? Did I say say something nice? Your generosity is much appreciate.

It used to be like a hundred BTC but now if you even have 1 BTC, because the value is so high, I think it's something to be proud of.

I know it's a completely arbitrary question, but what number pops into your head?

I'm a newb and have just gotten up to 5 BTC and I'm proud to hit that number.
It's a good start up.

Sagiv it depends upon your affordability. Everyone must save their wealth in form of bitcoins as its price may once again escalate tremendously. Only remember one thing that you must not invest more than what you can’t afford to lose as any form of trading you do holds a risk. By the way I have 30

I love pizza.

And if you wonder why I said this, it's because my reply makes as much sense as yours.
We're talking bitcoins here. Change your  <not going to type that name > into bitcoins and then we can talk.
