As a long-served photographic artist and photojournalist, I've decided it's time to start accepting bitcoins as an optional payment currency for my services.
while this post was not intended to be shameless advertising, and i've yet to redesign my site to let my clients know, I just wanted to assure, it's not only mining BTC's that keeps the network strong... we need to make sure that there are mainstream outlets to spend our bitcoins, so i'm taking this opportunity to urge folks, if you are self employed, or in upper management in the business you work.. YOU SHOULD BE ACCEPTING BITCOINS!

we can all trade and speculate on coin exchanges, but unless there is a mainstream understanding that Bitcoins are worth using, then all our efforts are in vain... we'll hit 21million and have nowhere else to go... it's only having the ability to spend them which will raise the price, at the end of the day.

my 0.01BTC.

Also... I run a small non-profit org called The Scribe, which is dedicated to helping families who have separated, remain close to their children. please donate any coinage you can at www.thescribe.eu

thanks

Rus

I think we're at the stage now where bitcoin is gaining commercial interest. The overstock news is big, if you didn't know about it. It will put websites like Amazon on the back foot if bitcoin payments take off.

Can we see your flickr?  Smiley

hi unclejones,

i don't use flickr, I run the pic agency StockPix International News Pictures (www.stockpix.org) and my personal site is www.rgspix.com...
but like I said, the bitcoin functions won't be implemented til early january... I also hear that Virgin Airways are taking BTC's as payment for flights... maybe a good thing but i'd be wary of Virgin bank getting it's teeth into the BTC market...

Yh i think its inevitable. Currency is the last thing to go digital and bitcoin is the innovater. However bad it may be, it is the future.
