Maybe others can help like relatives, friends, doctors, etc. but the only one that can really help you is none other than yourself. No matter what and how many encouragement they say, in the end, it's up to you. Depends on your dedication or determination.
Yeah they all can help you to retain your previous life. Once a gambler decides from leaving gambling, he must be welcomed. Plus not only welcomed in literally meaning, rather physical support must be given at utmost level. Like you have said, the doctors, brothers, sisters, family members and everyone else can be moral system for this gambler and he must be dealt softly.
Other people in gambler’s life like your family members, relatives and friends can help the gambler to leave gambling to some extent that he will become aware of the consequences of gambling and will start thinking that he is doing wrong and there is a probability that he will leaving gambling in his near future but for me consulting a proper psychiatrist is the best thing.

Oh no are you doctor bro. For gambling addiction you want to psychiatrist and other to help for rid off from the gambling addiction means I do not know what extend people you met in your life. I really love to gamble only on betting purposes.
Other than betting I will care or go with that. Then I gamble I do not look about win or loss. First I use to check the odds and team potential. Then go bet on the good team I believe. So 90 percent I win only 10 percent does not make any problem bro. So addiction just enjoyment.
It means that you are betting just for fun and not for making money. Sports gambling is everywhere in the world even in small streets, but we are talking about addicted gamblers. How they can quit gambling? I don’t think that doctor is required for this addiction because it is not related to physical health, but for this I think clean and fear society can help.

Nice article OP. Though,  I still think that gambling is not as bad as what most people view it as cause it mostly seems as a game of fine but as you know too much of everything is bad. The one big mistake that  most gamblers make  is the mistakes of becoming addicted into gambling because they don't know when to stop and also know when the game becomes intoxicating to them.
then it must be with intention and strong and high confidence if we are still in the environment that the majority of the population is still playing gambling our intentions less then we will be carried away again because environmental factors are very influential.

Good advices, but certainly any advice will don't help if a person hasn't realize what he is aiming to be. It is easy to say however if you are in the persons place and state of mind it is not that easy to take this moments and for it to realize your life was been ruined or broke by your own gambling addiction. I remember when i was a gambling addiction any advice was only passing through my ears and go outside in the other side. You know that feeling that you heard them but you never ever mind what they are saying.

Yes it is true. Addicted gambler won’t listen and won’t take advices because what they usually do is to justify their mistakes and satisfy themselves with their vices. They are like so genius that they have answers in everything that we want them to see negatively. And even if they are going to lose everything they have even their loveones, it is not enough reason for them to quit. It will always be depend on themselves to realize how bad it is to make them quit.
This is one of the biggest dilemma of these gamblers. They are not ready to listen about leaving gambling or the negative effects of gambling. They think of this as a holy game that comes to their life to enlighten them with amazement of money coming in their accounts. However this never even happens. It is just a stigma that eats them up but they are unknown to this danger.

I could tell OP I have seen way too many addicted gamblers who gamble and lost huge amount of money to the casinos and resulting getting themselves into huge debts, I also find it useless to talk to them about quitting gambling as they never seems to listen to your advice, they would always tell you they will win back their money someday, I guess it is just way too difficult to talk to a gambler who is seriously addicted to gambling to quit.
Gambling sometimes benefits a person but also it can become a curse for its player if he gambles excessively. Mainly very few people get benefited from gambling while many people get themselves destroyed in the procedure. If someone want to be successful than he must play in a limit and with great care. Moreover it he wants to quit than I think he should get himself involved in some other activates rather than gambling.

The only way to recover from any kind of addictions is that they need to realize that they are addicted to it until that that there is no use of advicing them about it.But even after the realization it needs lot of works to get away wiith it and it is a slow and long time process.

Yes I agree with it, a person with an addiction to gambling need to realize and accept that he/she is already an addicted to that vices , they are close minded to any advices and also it is very useless if they are not willing to change their own selves  . You are right mate it will be slow and long process before a person change for good.

I think gambler would listen to everyone’s advice and talks but like he is deaf which means he is pretending to be listening but actually he didn’t have listened anything. Gamblers respect others opinions and advices because they don’t want others to discuss their gambling every time so they say that they will work to recover back from gambling.

Most of the gamblers came here to make money so it is hard for them to concentrate on the other activities while they are losing here, our mind will keep saying that we need to get our lost money that is the common man's thinking but we need to be smart that this is not the perfect way to earn because our part in gambling is nil we just need to rely on the luck to make money here.

The thing that they can do is to make him aware of the consequences of gambling so that he leaves gambling as soon as possible but he has decided to continue as he things he will become rich with it someday which is totally a wrong thing.
I also have the same thinking in this regard because relatives and family members don’t know how to cure the disease because at that part of his life, gambling has become an addiction for him which is a disease. The only thing that they can do in his favor is to take him to psychiatrist where he will get proper treatment and maybe become well soon.

They just never will and they will keep coming with flimsy excuse or consolation that persistence is the key. Like they always say, it is only a fool that will keep repeating the same thing over and over and then expecting a different result. It is still funny that at this stage of enlightenment when people share their experiences all over the globe and easily accessible online, a lot of people still fall into the addiction trap.

The only way to stop when you are in it, is to set your mind up to get out of it and know there is nothing to gain from it unless you want to have fun and not many people feel losing money having fun is a path they want to take.
They will realize their persistence to keep on gambling while hoping for a recovery is actually meaninglessness, as there is a very high chance for them to keep on repeating their losses to the casinos in the long term, and usually the only way for a seriously addicted gambler to stop gambling is the time when he have no more money to gamble anymore.

He will also realize there will be no more friends, relatives or banks that are willing to give him a loan for whatever excuses he came up with, so the best advice would still be, just gamble the amount of funds you can afford to lose and just take gambling as a form of entertainment.
Greed is the main cause for regular and continuous gambling. Then you lose your money in gambling you will try to win back your lost money on the very next day otherwise you will not feel good and gradually you become addicted and then you will not live without gambling. It is difficult how to stop gambling because it is addiction and addiction is not easy to quit.

Yeah, self-realization is the key to solving anything. A lot of addicts even if you tell them that they are, usually do not agree with you and would rather tell you they know what they are doing. Like someone always tell me, the day you realize that you do have a problem is actually the day that problem gets to be over.

Many people will tell you to visit a shrink, get support and so on but in reality, you are the best support you can ever give to yourself as a person otherwise every other person's support will end up fruitless. It much better to avoid gambling addiction rather than struggling with it after got addicted. But most gambler never understand the simplicity behind this.

When you feeling emotional while you investing on the gambling and loosing continuously it would work better bro. Please look around the amount you invested and leave if the you loose the fund little. When you lost the big fund also you should do the same bro.
Please check the good betting option first while you loosing the money.
Then you can leave the gambling when you find the day completely bad for you bro.

The one big mistake that  most gamblers make  is the mistakes of becoming addicted into gambling because they don't know when to stop and also know when the game becomes intoxicating to them.
Gambling of course is a game and it is not bad, but it is how people accept it that makes it bad. By acceptance, some see gambling as a way to make money or as a form of them investing their money and making shit tons of money from it and then that mindset ruining them entirely until they become totally addicted.

If everyone ends up seeing gambling as just a game and nothing to expect much from it, I believe we would not be complaining about gambling as we would have sane gamblers but human nature we all know is centered on greed. I believe no one could help curing an addicted gambler but may prevent well in advance. If OP works in that way then that must be a big help to this community.

Probably getting aware of where addiction starts and what are the things cause it, will help anyone to avoid those things. But when a gambler into gambling rush, we cannot expect them to remember all these to follow. But before and after gambling they must work for preventing addictions. Because that is the only the right time to work against gambling addictions.
You have said it all. Even gambling addiction is a by-product from gambling, its dangers are impacting on day today life. It begins unknowingly and causing all the troubles to gambler even they are coming to the point of realizing their addictions. You have suggested many points which are resembling to my gambling life. I may try to quit my gambling in coming days or else I may start gambling business so that I will not lose big and I may start earning big too.

Yeah, pretty good ones. There is nothing hard really! I believe the state we place ourselves is where we have chosen to place ourselves. I used to have this mindset of winning and then I brought it into online gambling which was my first attempt of gambling anyway and for a fact, it started well when I started playing dice with martingale strategy, I got comfortable and then it all started.

Now, over time, it became pointless that the house edge is basically there to eat you raw and then I stopped. Addiction starts by overworking your emotions and over working your emotions starts from expecting something you can absolutely not get.

The sign of gambling addiction if people can't control themself to play gambling even if no extra money
Difficult to stop gambling addiction is almost the same with drug addict need the family support to stop the gambling addicting, one of the best way to stop is focus to other activities specially family gathering bonding until they forget it.
can be with some therapy and support from family so you can really stop the gambling and the most important thing is your intentions of yourself that you really want to stop the gambling.
Support from family and therapy will work only if you are ready to want to see some difference in your life and ready to change. Stopping is a thing of the mind, though it is not easy as most of it is based on how deep you are in it already but for the most part, the majority of the decision on changing is on the gambler himself like you have said and it all starts from the mindset most of them had before they started gambling.

Yeah you are right. Nobody can help in quitting gambling. Although social mobilizers will motivate you to quit gambling because it is not good and the people of your society will not respect you, even your family members will not give you any respect. Strong determination will help you quitting gambling and for that you will help yourself.

Friends do play a vital role in one's life. If friend says something to who the person may be close their are chances that he listening to him may be high then compared to himself if he/she lacks the self control. In such cases other person when says their is chance that they may understand the perspective better.

Our number one hardest enemy is our self that's why if we lose control of our self and forgot to remain as what we intended to plan then there's a big possibility that we are going to become addicted in gambling. We must be fully aware of what we are doing because it has an equivalent consequences of what we are doing in our everyday life.

Although you have good intentions, I seriously doubt that what you say will help anyone to recover from gambling addiction. For people with serious problems the only solution is to quit gambling forever, not even one small bet. That same person can do this either with his willpower or by self-exclusion and help from friends, relatives and maybe psychiatrists.
Yes,if someone seriously addicted to something then he need to stay away from that thing forever or the addiction will come to him even after he recovered if he still continue gambling. As you said one who want to get away from gambling need to realize that he was addicted to it that is the first step towards recovery and he still need medications to recover combine with will power.
That is really not the point because what makes the person an addict in the first place is the fact they he or she finds it hard to stay away and it is easier said than done to tell a gambling addict to stay away when indeed all he is thinking even when he is not in a casino is gambling.

Being a gambling addict is hard to get out from and the best thing is never to even be in that shoe in the first place and that starts from the moment you want to start making those decisions to gamble. Those who find it hard to control or talk to themselves when they are threading the wrong path as a result of their greed will always end up this way.

yes that friends do play a vital role in your life but in case of gambling, the friends also return empty handed because gambler’s real friend is gambling and no one else. If you don’t agree with me in this regard take your best friend with you to casino for gambling and have a match with him and after seeing his reactions comeback and tell me the truth.

He will also realize there will be no more friends, relatives or banks that are willing to give him a loan for whatever excuses he came up with, so the best advice would still be, just gamble the amount of funds you can afford to lose and just take gambling as a form of entertainment.
Our number one hardest enemy is our self that's why if we lose control of our self and forgot to remain as what we intended to plan then there's a big possibility that we are going to become addicted in gambling. We must be fully aware of what we are doing because it has an equivalent consequences of what we are doing in our everyday life.
Yes.And we are making our own life so we should be responsible if ever consequences come. And if you are really addicted in gambling, you need not to stop there, you should find ways by your own self how to stay away from gambling and never come back anymore.I believe it's just a matter of self-discipline and self-motivation.Changes should start with your own self.
