I'm curious - how many quark / day do you get on a typical core i7 system?

Not really:

>>> 200000 (typical system)/2600000000.0 (Gigahas) *30 (blocks/hour) *24 (hours) *32 (coins per block)
1.7723076923076926 quarks/day

Doesn't seem worth it

I'm able to mine about 5 per day using a Digital Ocean cloud which works out to roughly $0.17 per coin mined.

Mining QRK doesn't seem worth it atm...

Compiling quark-miner from the sources on the server does not work at all (Ubuntu 13 / Debian 7). Maybe somebody could make a kind of short guide, what to do... dependencies are ok, there's something with the sources
