What type of cubes ? If you are talking about ASICminer 38gh/s Cube, than you needed a stratum proxy or using bfgminer acting as a stratum proxy.

Bitminter won't recognise those ASIC Cube. You might want to follow the link for OSX to install bfgminer.

Than to run bfgminer as a stratum proxy:

just issues at the Terminal "bfgminer --http-port 8332" to start bfgminer stratum proxy.

Yep, as hagenuk says they don't connect directly to your mac (from the description it sounds like you tried to use the USB port, which is only for flashing firmware and such).

To mine with them, they have to be connected to your network and you must set up a proxy that converts stratum protocol to what the cubes expect, which is getwork.

Great advice. I think the OP should tip you for that lol

Much prefer bootcamp with native windows. Parallels has all sorts of issues, speed amongst them. Maybe its a lot better than when I last used it 18 months back.

If you have trouble getting a stratum proxy running, you can point the cube miner(s) at Ozcoin.  They still support the Getwork protocol via a Stratum proxy that they run for you.

Go to OzCoin, set up an account.  Set up a worker and password for each cube and set up the cube to point to the OzCoin Stratum Proxy in US or in EU.

Then while you are banking some shares with OzCoin, figure out how to get a local Stratum proxy going on your Mac or other machine.  Once you have the the local Stratum proxy you will be able to max out your cube hash rate over-clocked at 35 to 40 GH and get faster/sooner payouts form one of the larger mining pools or switch to the OzCoin stratum pool if you like it.

From OzCoin;

Stratum proxy for older (getwork) mining software that does not support stratum, please upgrade if possible
USE FOR getwork based ASIC hardware eg: Block eruptors and Bitfury
US

http://us.ozco.in:80 Load Status: Low
EU
