I'm currently using the cryptovalley.com pool for mining dogecoin and there are times when there are no payouts for 6-8 hours or more. Other times it can be great paying out a few times an hour but I'm still not sure why it pays sometimes and why it doesn't at all other times. If someone can suggest a different pool or if they have an opinion about using a p2pool.org mining pool I'm curious about those as well. It seems like they are resistant to DoS attacks from what I was reading and there aren't any fees going to the mining pool as well. If its such a great setup, why don't more people use it instead of using a pool that takes a percentage out of each block found. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone for the replies.  I will be checking out all of the pools suggested and see if I have better luck with a different pool.

Also, can someone explain to me why using a p2pool.org mining pool would be a better/worse solution for mining?  I am hoping someone can tell me why a person would choose to use a peer to peer mining pool over one of the other mining pools out there.  I know there are slower payouts on a p2pool.org mining pool but I would like some information on their pros/cons if someone can take a minute to answer this for me.

Thank you in advance for your time! Grin
