You don't really need two computers. You can just rename the folder that holds the block chain to HotCoin_old and open the newer version of the wallet and get it's address and that will create a Hotcoin folder with a block chain and wallet.dat file. Then rename that Hotcoin folder to Hotcoin_new and rename the Hotcoin_old back to Hotcoin. Then open the old version of the wallet and send the coins. Then rename the HotCoin folder back to HotCoin_old and then rename the Hotcoin_new back to Hotcoin. Then when you open the newer version of the wallet the coins will be received. Once the coins are in the wallet you can delete the old wallet and the Hotcoin_old folder. That is a lot of steps to do so the easy way is using two computers and send from one computer to another. |
