Honestly price charts and reliable news sources are the main things you need when it comes to cryptocurrency trading. Your main analysis comes from price charts where you use technical analysis to determine your buy and sell decisions. I'm not expert on trading but I will suggest you a good thing to do just like what I did.
Having a laptop or desktop for trading is a must.
Good predictions and analysis are very helpful when you are in trading.
I also downloaded to my mobile phone apps of the portfolio which is I can monitor price movement,
the name of the apps is "Blockfolio". With this apps, I can easily know what coins that I have a profit already then cut off the profit immediately.

You wont be needing any tool but you will need some tricks and tips to get started. I mean trading is something that requires little skills in the dish and to make things work (spice up really) you need to have best coins from the market to trust, to play with and learn back more.

In crypto currency you should :

1. Choose your portfolio perfectly
2. If you loose then you dont have to be Panick about it but get started over again.
3. There is no way you can earn more than 50%  a day, thats bullshit! Just grab whatever you get in first place.
4. Being greedy is worst thing to do in the crypto currency trading.

Thats a way long journey mate and all you have to do is start looking for the exchanger or market place that you will be using or you are comfortable with. After selecting the market place you have to go for choosing your coins and/or tokens that you gonna trade. Mostly you should choose the undervalued coins at the first time which are nothing but the coins which are below $1 in value but make sure they are having the higher 24 hour volumes so that they wont be scam ones. The more the market volume the better it is. 
Now start selecting your best methodology from swing trades, day trades and short-long term trading etc. This way you can start learning about the trades.
