That was me. Long time lurker, kittehcoin fan since launch!

If there's a vote, I'd go with the Rainbow Ark people purely because of the topicality and PR potential (and that I'm in the UK too).

Love the idea of a donation. Sent 50k from coinedup. What I would also like to see is some of the pools donate some % of their profits monthly for one of the causes.

Just donated 25k and a little extra! The Rainbow Ark project is already overfunded, isnt it?

It's changing by the minute by many GH/s. I think someone is playing.

If you think about it, if you have huge hashing at your fingertips the most efficient method of mining would be to hit a single coin, grab all the blocks at the lower difficultly then switch to another coin before the difficulty goes up. Do the same on that coin, then switch to another, round and round. You would be taking advantage of the delay between difficultly changes.  Not saying that is what is happening here, only speculating.

So, we should focus on sth else?

There is a lot of smaller goal gofundme possibilities related to cats needing rescue or medical funds.  What if we focusing on a bunch of these that are spread through out the US. We could save kittehs and touch hearts all over the world as a collective. Possibilities of hitting a variety of smaller media outlets could snow ball into something on a national scale. This would allow us individually help educate those who we are donating to about the world of kittehcoin and help facilitate converting kittehcoin into fiat for them in our own neighborhoods.  Multiple grass route campaigns happening simultaneously.

Is there a tipbot for reddit?  If not, is anyone working on one?  I don't know how to set that up, just asking out of curiosity, we can really get things going on reddit if we have a tip bot and can get a hold of some willing moderators who are managing popular cat based subreddits.

Yes, this happens to coins with longer difficulty adjustments *all* the time, it is commonly referred to as "strip mining"

Start mining first block after diff adjustment, SLAM with everything you've got, as soon as the diff retarget kicks in, bail out.  For coins with a long diff retarget (say, 8 hours) this can be really bad.  Once the huge diff adjustment occurs, the coin is no longer profitable so the hashrate that caused it disappears, leaving everyone else mining stuck with a much higher diff than they should have.

Say for example if the diff adjustment is normally every 8 hours, huge hashrate comes in and the diff increases by 3x, then the hashrate goes away . . . now everyone else is stuck for the next 24 hours (3x normal diff adjustment) mining at the higher diff until it readjusts again.

Fortunately, the KittehCoin diff adjustment period is only 1 hour, so if the diff goes up by 3x due to some monster multipool jumping on, we're only stuck with the high hashrate for 3hours before it adjusts back down to where it should be.

this coin will be relaunched after a couple of days,  why mining now ?

In 3 days the coin generation rate will be cut in half. You have three days left to mine
then value will probably double and coin gen rate will be halved. Cryptsy launch also
and new website.

All at same time.

This is the new DOGE and there are very big players getting ready. People and teams with multi Ghash
mining all they can now and then those guys will be jacking price up just like DOGE.

You will never see 60-70 satoshi again. Just like I said with DOGE when it left 50 forever.
Except there are only going to be about 6 billion MEOW on monday. There are 40 billion DOGE.
Do the math. 6.6x less coins with MEOW. 6.6x more value with MEOW.

DOGE = 50 then MEOW = 330 satoshi
DOGE = 250 then MEOW = 1650 satoshi

This is the number #1 new coin now. It's pretty clear.

Hope you got your coins because it took me 2-3 days to get my MEOWs at the right price... took forever little bit at a time.
Price keeps rising. Buy walls solidifying and you can see no one really wants to sell much below 80. Then look over
at the buy side for 35-60 it's filled up with people that won't get those prices.
