It depends on whether you believe altcoins will increase in value in future.

Because you can increase your gains by two fold, your losses can be two fold as well but if you are LONG bitcoin, it doesn't really matter.

For example, you buy 1 btc for $1000, you take 1 btc and buy Ripple (XRP) at .00000500 satoshi

Then the price of Ripple goes to .00001000 for a 100% gain, NOW you have 2 btc

But while you are holding your Ripple, the price of Bitcoin goes to $2000

Now you're 2 btc are worth $4000, you made gains on you're bitcoin investment while not even holding it since most alt coins are tied to bitcoin.

Actually I have never been in favor of promoting investment in altcoins as an advisable way to obtain wealth for all, because it seems that most of those who have been interested in putting their money in this market have lost the focus that the main reason that gave rise to the cryptos was not the accumulation of money, but finding a solution to the system of centralized economic exchange that has prevailed to this day.

And that is why many withdraw from this "business" with loss and ranting against cryptocurrencies, forgetting that their essence is precisely, being used as currency (means of payment) and not as an investment instrument.

Why investing in Altcoins is a good idea?

because alt is an alternative investment option other than bitcoin. alt has different and varied bases, there are in banking, exchange, social media, property, platform provider and others.

because investing in Altcoins can be very profitable, because the price of altcoins is usually still low, especially if we buy at the price of ICO is still low and became high after the ICO.

I see altcoin as a good idea because you can buy at very low prices, hold and get profit from it as long as it is a stable and potential altcoin. From altcoin, you have chances of increasing your profit with the ones you invested in other stable coin. Altcoin can sometime cover up for some loses in stable coin.

Actually I really agree with this post,  eventough Actually I want to invest in altcoin to get more profit as many friends of mine do. But,  if we think more deep, actually we got lost the essence of cryptocurrency, and I hope it doesn't make cryptocurrency dissapear or to be forgotten soon

Accepting altcoins in your store can give customers even more payment options.

That really depends on the coin which you invest in, if it is a decent project and is hitting it's milestones and gains some kind of adoption then yes it is worth it, if you end up supporting a pointless pump and dump coin then long term this will not work out.
