Support is sushi.  The support tickets on sushi-review are to Sushi.  Responses aren't quick though so you have to be kinda patient.  I will probably not do hosting again because I want to be able to control it myself.  I'm still waiting for my hosted miner to get going.  At this point I've missed out on a few hundred $$ in mining revenue so I'm not too happy bout that.

Just a general comment that may be related to the issues you're having with these hosted Antminer S1 miners.

My Antminer S1 came in, I ran it for many hours stock speed, I then OC'ed it to 375MHz first, then went to 400MHz after a few more hours.  What I found was that if the cooling is not enough, I will get ASIC's that turn to xx's.  If I plug too much stuff to the same surge protector, I may or may not get xx's.  Last night, it got a little warm in the room because I closed the windows next to the miner with just a little opening (as it was a little chilly Southern California weather) and I also dropped the walmart fan speed (again thinking the cooler night temperature would compensate).  I got the most number of xx's I've seen yet, but the hash rate was fine, but it made me nervous, I quickly downgraded to stock speed, rebooted, and xx's gone, OC'ed to 375MHz after 5 minutes and got 2 xx's immediately, so dropped down again to stock speed and waited an hour before attempting to OC.

It has been up for 10 hours with no xx's and running at 400MHz, 200GH/s performance.  Antminer is solid, it's stable, but it has to be provided the right cooling and power.  Running the walmart fan at full speed versus middle speed only added 9watts per the killawatt display, so I'm not dropping that walmart fan speed again.

I can just imagine the temperature at the hosted site and the power load with all of these ants in the room...  fwiw.

Corsair  CX750M, Bronze certified, Up to 85% efficient.

Antminer S1 OC'ed 400MHz + Linksys ddwrt router + walmart fan full blast = 461W (according to the killawatt the surge protector is plugged-in to).  452W if walmart fan is dropped to middle setting.

Correction, I see 498W right now.  I don't know where I saw it was 461W.   Medium setting on the walmart fan puts it back down to 489W.

UPS has apparently lost my shipment of two S1 miners. They made it to my local UPS hub, but disappeared after that (no scanning activity since January 3). UPS is going to open an "investigation," but this is pretty discouraging.

I've received hundreds of UPS packages over the years, and have never had them lose anything until now. I wanted to post this here in case anyone else has had a similar tragic experience Sad

Yay shippment is lost by UPS almost made it here .... Sent you an message here Sushi need you to open a investigation into it as where I am the reciever i can not open an investigation ....
Thanks in advance and sorry about this

Blorgg

Sorry to hear about your lost package. UPS lost my shipment of two S1's.

Re: the investigation - the UPS rep I spoke to said that the receiver can open an investigation, but that you cannot make any claims for reimbursement unless the sender also requests one. I was assured that, even if the investigation is initiated by the receiver, the sender can still request the investigation later.

I'm not fully clear on whether we'll even be eligible to receive any compensation if the packages remain lost, but you might want to ask that UPS start an investigation. For what it's worth, my UPS investigation has been ongoing since Tuesday morning, and I have not yet gotten any updates from them. They told me this process can take 8 business days.

I PM'ed sushi about this and he told me he will ask the Bitmain shipping people to make a claim about the lost packages also.

Hope that helps.

so its very depending on efficiency, as others are reporting >550W with OC

i really need to get a Shunt for a precise measaurement...

Still waiting to have my units set to run on overclock at hosting facility, and I see I'm not the only one. I am thankful that my units were set up hastily, but they need to be on overclock to make any hope of returns. PLEASE set our units to overclock sushi!

(also sent support ticket on your website to change mining pool)

Much thanks.

Am seeing a lot of HW errors when i overclock it to 400. I also see a lot of X's but the my pool shows that it is hashing atleast at 188 - 190 GH/s. Any suggestions what might be the issue.

But at 375, it works like a charm with Fan speed at 2300 and temps (45 / 48). No X's at all.

My setup consists of :

I have added a 60 CFM fan at the other end of the S1 to pull the hot air.
Corsair CX 750M (powering just the S1 + 1 X 120 MM Fan)

Have you tried blowing a fan directly on it.  The over clocking isn't very stable anyway but temperature would be the biggest factor that you could control.  My temps are in the 30s but it's not over clocked.

TEMPS: they seem fine - my units run at 48/47, 51/50, and 54/53 (the last one is from the very first batch) at 400MHz
FAN: adding the second fan is good, sucking air out is ideal
PSU: plenty of power, +12V@62A is far more than enough to run at 400MHz (roughly 500-550W)

my suggestions:
1) what is your pool? check if its sending high/low difficulty that isnt optimal to your 200GH
2) enough power wiring? you should use 3+ and 3- lines per blade. more is overkill for a corsair wiring and less may cause issues
3) add small heatsinks to the large grey inductor blocks. they get fairly hot and a little bit of extra cooling for them may help prevent ripples or other 12V power effects
4) sometimes the unit puts things to 'x' arbitrarily or deactivates chips during config changes or during any outtages. REBOOT the unit at 400MHz and see if its fixed.

You shouldnt be having issues at 400MHz imho

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

I have managed to get my temps down to 35c on each chip by placing miner outside and making waterproof system then setup link over power over Ethernet.

I have found now uses 30% less power! and mines with only 30HW error in 7 days.

Average air temp outside is min: 1c max:9c

I am happy with results
