When you run a business well, with a reliable product, excellent support and the fastest shipping ever, I would expect nothing less. Many other mining hardware manufacturers should take note.

Does overclocking to anything greater than 350mhz void the warranty ? Is 375mhz acceptable ?
I've been running all of mine stock at 350mhz for energy efficiency reasons, but was thinking about tinkering with this next round.

Ok. Before elastic band's offer, 29 were reserved. Elasticband wants to order 10 but there only 1 left. There are now 300 units available, per the OP. Not 30 as was originally planned. Plenty for all now.

I can't help but think there is usually more available on these GB's than initially shown, so they can test the waters. Not complaining though, best value going for in-stock miners. I have 2 already and these things are rock solid and pretty quiet IMO.

Yes.... It will work but may not be stable as Manufacture wants it to be. Does overclocking to anything greater than 350mhz void the warranty ? Is 375mhz acceptable ?
I've been running all of mine stock at 350mhz for energy efficiency reasons, but was thinking about tinkering with this next round.

Sushi, when you get back please let me know if this batch comes with pci-e externder cables. I don't think I can source the proper extenders over the holiday season so if these don't come with them I'm going to pass on this batch. I'd like to get 1 though.

Custom's Declaration Option: $1,900 USD Computer Accessories or As usual at your own risk
At the risk of sounding like an idiot here but does that apply to US orders? Seems like a big risk. I really want one of these things and I like the price but that's huge.
EDIT: Ok so I am an idiot your saying it's a $1900 declaration not a $1900 tax, man sometimes I need to just slow down.

Ok, excellent. As for the $1900 customs value declaration wasn't that always the case?

Question about the hosting option. Will I get access through VPN or something or is it a one time pool setup made on the data center side? What happens after 3months? Will you be able to ship the unit to a designated location when I sell my unit? What day will the unit be setup 4,5,6th?
I'm living in a 21% tax country so paying $375 for 3 months is indeed cheaper for me.
Cheers

No remote access. You can tell me to change your pool info. Whenever you decided you want to send the miner to anywhere you like, it will be $50 removal fee + hipping cost to nay place in the world. 1.4 batch, the hosting will start on 1/6 or 1/7 as 4th is Saturday. Put me down for 5... thanks in advance sushi!
As for taobao, maybe I'm missing something but I just checked (google chrome translate.. I don't know Chinese) and saw prices around RMB 13000-16000 which is about the same as this group buy.

This might be a stupid question, but is that a fee on top of the 3.15 BTCs for the miner?

Yes... AntMiner eat up about $60 USD in Power a month. (Depends on where you are at) This might be a stupid question, but is that a fee on top of the 3.15 BTCs for the miner?

What does "As usual @ your own risk" mean for customs declaration? I am in the US and am curious of other customers' experience with customs declaration options.
Thanks!

US has 0% duty on computer equipment so this is a non-issue. There might theoretically be an issue with state sales tax.

Hi Sushi,
Just sent you a 0.05 BTC tip. Thanks for your time organizing this.
I posted in this thread earlier, saying I wanted to buy 3, but I never got a PM. Maybe you missed my post?
I'd actually like to buy a total of 5 of these now (buying a couple more for a friend). Let me know the payment address.
Thanks!

I installed that firmware on one of my antminers and upon first impression I think this newer firmware seems slower. I am thinking it puts a greater strain on the control board. Does anyone know what kind of CPU the control board uses? Is it a tp-link router clone?

Sushi, I still haven't received the replacement cable so my current miner hasn't been in use since I got it. You said you sent it out Thursday so I hope to get it Monday. That would be 17 days of not mining with a 4.25 BTC miner, which is lost money. I PMd you about a possible discount on a 2nd unit as compensation. I believe that's fair. Please respond. Thanks!

Thanks! you are missing a 8-pin ribbon cable and not mining as a result? go down to redioshack/source/citrcuit city or any other store that sells wires and electrical tools. find a 8-pin flat cable or buy 6 seperate [thin] wires. ghettorig the wiring yourself. if you cant find a connector to match or lack the soldering/ghettorigging skills to do it, im sure you can find an electrical repair shop to do it in a heartbeat for <$25 (<30 minutes work) I agree that you are owed a replacement (was the original missing?), but that should be taken up with bitmain. I am sure if you asked, they would be happy to cover the cost of local repair since it would be much better than waiting days or weeks for some wires to make your system work

I am sure if you asked, they would be happy to cover the cost of local repair since it would be much better than waiting days or weeks for some wires to make your system work It's actually the 4-pin ribbon cable that goes from the closest blade to the controller. I went to radio shack but they don't have a cable like that. I don't want to ghetto rig anything to avoid breaking the thing and voiding the warranty. As for taking it up with bitmain, I thought I had to go through sushi because he was the reseller I bought from. I didn't want to go over Sushi because he said he would send out a replacement cable when I first notified him, so I took him for his word. I haven't seen it and I tried to get an update. It took a few days but he said he would send it yesterday. Since it was close the weekend, I gave him the benefit of waiting until Monday. Today,I saw that he lowered the price of the Antminer in a new GB. I'm interested in a 2nd unit and figured I'd ask if he can compensate for the lost mining time since I paid much more for a unit that haven't really done anything. At minimum, at least send me the price diff between the new and old price since I couldn't mine until (hopefully) sometime next week, which is like purchasing from this GB and just only receiving the unit sometime next week (when the cable comes). I originally asked if he can compensate by discounting the next unit for 17 days of missed mining at 180 GH. The 17 days doesn't count the day I received it since I figured a true 24 hour would start the next day. The 17 days was calculated assuming I would get the cable this Monday. Here's the original post that has links to photos of the cable I'm speaking of: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=364342.msg3951717#msg3951717

hi. i was wondering, did anyone got speeds higher then 205gh/s? http://prntscr.com/2ecv1xof course it has been modified a little. i have placed one extra fan, and it is in a room with air temperature around 20C. so with all that temp in unit is around 42C. and if i turn off second fan, temp goes up to 49C. 1. anyone has some similar experience with modified ants? 2. is there a something like second step in modifying? to push it a little more, since it is winter here right now and outdoor temps are around 0C. thx everyone.

Can accept from 1 months minimum, however, it will be $100/month. Setup fee of $50 and $75 one time PSU fee do apply. $50 removal fee + shipping cost when you request to send your unit to the address of your choice. Extending the contact after 3 months of hosting can be done on month to month bases for $75/month thats acceptable.. can you confirm the total hosting fee for three months is $375? do you do shorter periods of hosting? YES! but your warranty will be void.... Greetings Sushi,

2 of my 3 seem to always go down or slow down when bitminter gets attacked. Im using bfgminer for the rest of my miners, with no issues. Ive used cgminer lots in the past and always have had problems with it. My miners running cgminer have always needed more attention then running bitminter client or bfgminer. I cant say for sure cgminer is the problem. I also have a knc miner running in the states and it also goes down in these attacks.

Hi Sushi,
I would like to purchase one unit with 3 months hosting. Please send me adress and total cost. Also with hosting option I read somewhere in the thread that my unit will be fully operational and mining on ~6th of January, is this correct? What will be required from my side to get it going?
Thank you!!

Is a 1900$ invoice supplied for customs? Here customs always ask for invoice / transaction receipt, they don't believe anything on the box or inside the box

There are (always) a gigaton of big miners being promised and money being taken for pre-orders. Actual delivery is a different story. Maybe there will be a rush of deliveries on the next few weeks. I actually doubt it though because all these companies pre-mine with their inventory ("burn in" lol) and the hash rate hasn't been going up that fast recently.

So they are basically holding off sales of their jupiters until another competitor ships so their current customers don't get screwed by them selling more.

Awesome! If there weren't enough incentive for "burn in testing," let's come up with another one. I for one am very happy with the Bitmain/sushi model of offering machines to sell (or more importantly pay for) that are actually available for fast shipment. The rest of the vendors are playing games with a shady (at best) business model.

Pre ship! this is the way a business should work Well done sushi Yet another good group buy! Sushi is going to have to surpass himself to improve his service, quicker tracking numbers would be helpful as last time it got delivered before I got the tracking number so how about delivery before payment as an improvement, that would be faster

These come with the PCI-E plug! Sushi, when you get back please let me know if this batch comes with pci-e externder cables. I don't think I can source the proper extenders over the holiday season so if these don't come with them I'm going to pass on this batch. I'd like to get 1 though.

I haven't tried for a non-US address, but I would assume it is worldwide. UPS asks for a country when you first visit the site. Hence, it is asking me for my US-based address since that's what I selected.

No, this is currently US. Where do you see the tracking info in myups (if you are from US). Once you signed up if theirs any packages underway to your address added to profile it will alert you. Just gt off the phone with UPS they advised once you signed up to the site and you put your address details in, any packages that are incoming to you on that day or day befor you will get an alert on your account or email advising you of it and if needed will phone you to make arrangements or payments on import tax.... This is UK tho but more than likely to follow same sort of thing. You can also call them and ask if their any packages inbound to you.

If you manage to get it working I would be interested in how you did it. Next week I will open a UPS Shipping Account and see if that makes a difference.

When I signed up for UPS account, I realized after a few hours there's also a UPS my choice signup. If it's relevant, I don't think my package is in the UPS facility. It says "order processed. REady for UPS" then there's a bubble that pops up when I hover the mouse there's legalese that they'll notify me once the shipment is moving in the UPS system.

spiccioli, sushi told me that data center is under maintenance and it "could be down from 10-20 hours but expected to com back online sooner."
hope to be online soon, early GBs don't have too many chances to get ROI

Did you also sign up for the UPS My choice? When I signed up for UPS account, I realized after a few hours there's also a UPS my choice signup.
If it's relevant, I don't think my package is in the UPS facility. It says "order processed. REady for UPS" then there's a bubble that pops up when I hover the mouse there's legalese that they'll notify me once the shipment is moving in the UPS system.
Same thing happened tome. The first tracking number for 21st dec shipment is still like that. While i was waiting for sushi sort things out with chinese company , the package of 21st dec shipment arrived in my country with a different tracking number. The first number still shows "order processed. REady for UPS" . so have sushi check it out , just to be on the safe side.

Wow, that was fast. Scheduled to arrive 2 days before they were even supposed to ship, from the other side of the world, with New Year's in 2 days? Great job Sushi!
Good. Which part of the world are you located.? East coast US. (ETA Jan 2) The tracking didn't show up under the calendar view (default when you log in) in UPS MyChoice but I got a list of my tracking numbers when I clicked "Table View". how did you get to see them as i dont see any sections other than to track with reff number etc nothing else. ups advised would be notified ??

WOW these shipped on 12/30 from China! Amazing!
For those of you having trouble, sign up for "My UPS", then "UPS My Choice"... wait a bit (I think they have to load the data via some batchload or something when you create a new account, took a while for mine to show up), login again in a few minutes and then go to the UPS My Choice view (calendar or table view works) to see the incoming shipments.
Thanks SUSHI!

The name and address both have to match the "UPS account" and My UPS account. I provided my email to the form but the name was my wife's name. The home address is the same. It shows up in my wife's UPS account. It doesn't show up in my UPS account.

the last few times i was charged roughly $44.80 CAD (+/- 10%, i dont have the actual receipt). I elected to avoid the $1900 price stamp this time, because thats enough tax to ensure the miner will have problems breaking even
also, UPS often adds some bu**s*it trivial charges for $15 or so

So how does this work then.? Do we need to buy anything additional for it to work.? The jumper wire is still needed to trick the PSU that it's connected to the motherboard. As far as actual power to the S1 blades (the real computers doing the mining), just plug in the PCI-E 6-pin from your PSU. One for each S1 blade.

I notice that between the 2nd(?) gen boards (first with the red/black terminals) and this, capacitors were added on pads C608/C609 in the image. Im just curious what these are for- related to the added PCI-e connector or not fully implemented at the time for some other form of current control?

GODDAM IT.
This is the THIRD time UPS has shafted me (every antminer ive ordered). Just like the last 2 times, I was home all day for the package and left a note in the lobby with a buzzer code and instructions to come to the 4th floor.
Just like before, its past 7pm (its actually 9:45PM today) before the tracking status changes from 'on truck for delivery' to 'first attempt made'. Its too late to schedule a will-call with UPS.
What can I do about this? Its obviously not Bitmain's fault, but im seriously pissed off that once again the UPS delivery truck decided to skip me and mark me as 'attempt made' when no such thing took place. UPS call center of course gives less than half of a f**k.

What can I do about this? Its obviously not Bitmain's fault, but im seriously pissed off that once again the UPS delivery truck decided to skip me and mark me as 'attempt made' when no such thing took place. UPS call center of course gives less than half of a f**k.
Wow, that sucks. I had that happen with another package. Lost a day and a half of hashing that way. The Postal service said that was not my regular driver, blah blah blah, we don't give a rat's butt. Talk to the postmaster, blah blah blah. But, get this, I was home, and the driver did not even bother to ring the doorbell. He just slid the Antminer package about 3 feet on the snow on my porch, and it came to a halt about 3 inches before hitting the wall. I can still see the track it left in the snow. Some of these deliver guys just seriously do not care. Not that I really blame them, but it would suck to have something shipped from China then have to ship it back because some troglodyte UPS person treated it like crap.

Gotta complain to UPS, odds are the driver didn't want to go up to the 4th floor. Yes complain to UPS, but track down a corporate number, not the call center.

I know and i feel for you. I live in a fourth floor apartment in an elevator building. Still sometimes they do that to me. They are one rude carrier. I like DHL in that matter. I have received a number of packages through them and they have been very professional about it. (for international shipping, they are more economical than UPS and Fedex as well).

UPS
Yesterday started the day off pissed off hearing i may need to pay £260.
After recieving an email from UPS saying my box is on the way to me
i waited by the door allday...... im on the ground floor no stairs no narrow paths and plenty of parking outside.
at 3pm i receive a email saying "first attempt made"..
i instantly tried to contact UPS (tried not dialling a 0870 they kept on telling me i cannot be transffered as i will have to call the toll number)
eventually they responded that my local depot would get in contact with me within one hour.
Hour and half later i get a call saying that driver did call and has gone home for the day.
Im getting pissed off with there dishonesty and B. The lady is telling me "how it is" rather then apologizing or putting me through to the actual driver.
I was told to go there Depot 9miles away at highest traffic congestion time..spent 20 minutes in traffic and then i recieve a call again from depot, wtf an apology and that the driver is coming to redeliver to me now..
what a piss take.
Paid the driver £39.07 Now all plugged in but wont load Cgminer tried resetting and cold start. so waiting on Sushi to see if he can get it running.
when you are free Sushi email pls may need some tech support.

Hi Sushi, No tracking number received Bump! Forget the tracking number as UPS have been and the unit is hashing. Now I have to buy some sun glasses for the extra bright leds, I hope that they are not going to increase the watts at the wall

Gotta complain to UPS, odds are the driver didn't want to go up to the 4th floor. Yes complain to UPS, but track down a corporate number, not the call center. I did. I requested they hold it for pickup at 5pm - "we cant do that until after a first delivery attempt" I called at 10pm after the first attempt shows as being at 9:45PM (I was home, no notice or buzzer attempt) - "you had to call earlier, it will go out tomorrow for a 2nd attempt. we will have the dispatch center call you before 10am" By 11:30 am today, no callback. so i called them - "oh, well the driver today is sick so its a replacement, we cant do anything to make sure they deliver before 3pm" I am going away for the weekend, so basically I have been shafted for 4 days (thursday afternoon - monday afternoon) of potential mining time. TO SUSHI/BITMAIN : This is unacceptable to me. Ive never had issues with FedEX, Purolator, or canada Post. BUT for the third time, UPS has not come to my building/apartment and has been a nightmare to deal with. Please consider establishing other shipping options such as DHL if possible. i would gladly pay $50 more to avoid this incompetency. The time wasted contacting UPS and the mining proceeds lost to these issues far outweighs any cheaper prices they have vs. DHL/Fedex/etc

Simple solution give them a number for you to contact you on I actually got a phone call to advise their 30min away and kept a look out for ups van and then seen van and went down my 8 flights of stairs and went to the door. Any optional instructions has to be done via notes in ups account or given to customer services as they don't take note other wise any notes on door etc they will ignore. If you want to pick item up ask to pickup at your local ups depo station. I had to do that on my 2nd unit but had note though door phoned them and then went to their unit and collected.

Maybe there's another thread somewhere for this but has anyone discussed that even with so much power of our Antminer S1, it's looking very doubtful that we're gonna get our ROI of 3.15BTC? [I'm not complaining at all; as I suspected it from the start before I bought it ] I just want to focus the discussion on ROI wrt Antminer S1. What are your plans/contingencies? I'm basing my numbers from playing around with the S1 since last night (about 13 hours worth of data); so not really significant sample size. Many thanks to sushi and Bitmain for such a FAST shipping and so easy setup (literally 5 minutes; of course I was timid and took my time so maybe 15 minutes setup). I had everything ready; table, power supply, dd-wrt router brdiged via wifi to my main router (same one I'm using for my "downed" Litecoin miner).

As usual UPS screwed me over. It reached my depot yesterday evening and was on delivery vehicle today morning. Had me wait at home all day and at the end of day, they moved the delivery date to Monday.
UPS sucks.. atleast the driver on my route. this is not the first time he has done that. I have one lazy fucked up driver serving on my route. @Sushi.. make note of this. Fedex / DHL is far better than UPS.

Oh and UPS sucks Never had a good experience with them FedEx is much, much better

Oh and UPS sucks Never had a good experience with them FedEx is much, much better - 1. Mine other sha-256 altcoins (and exchange for btc or ltc at cryptsy)
2. Sell the Antminer when it can only produce .2btc/day or after 30 days (whichever comes first) 3. Buy another miner from sushi if price goes to 2btc within 10 days like $ cost average on stocks except with btc (effective price for 1 Antminer would be ~2.6btc)
I was thinking same as you if btc mining gets too difficult to mine altcoins and exchange for btc. This is exactly what I was doing just before my ltc miner crashed. I was mining fastcoins and exchanging for ltc, because ltc mining did not produce as much when ltc difficulty shot up. You were in a very lucky pool there! Care to share? I got .039 for the first 13 hours, then switched to another pool and got .036 for the next 14 hours. I'm back with the first pool. I'v also OC'ed to 400Mhz last night and getting about 202GH/s (average for the past 9 hours). Cooling is important. I got a couple of xx's in the first few minutes after OC and when I put the Antminer closer to the big fan (i got from walmart), the x's turned to o's. Stable right now but California weather has been sunny so I'm waiting to see what happens during the day. Thanks for your thoughts and inputs.

[I'm not complaining at all; as I suspected it from the start before I bought it ] You (meaning anyone, not just you) can not accurately predict ROI since it depends on future difficulty changes, and also on the residual value of the miner. All you can do on these is guess. If you guess that these will be low+high you should buy the miner, if not you shouldn't. There is this fallacy that you can make a few clicks a on web site like genesis block, etc. and get a definitive yes or no answer on whether to purchase a miner. False. As for mining some other coin if you look at profitability of mining other SHA256 coins it has generally not been favorable. Mining scrypt coins has been somewhat favorable. But as for the future, again all you can do is guess.

I first tried eligius, but it sucks Don't like the concept of a payment queue, where they get to keep my btc for 6 days till they pay me So I switched to slushs pool Much better, and because you can login, you can see more accurately what each worker is doing I have a separate worker setup for each antminer so I can see if there are any problems I'm about 0.13 bitcoins a day Which is right about where I should be Eligius doesn't keep your coins for 6 days and you can login. I have it set to pay to my blockchain.info wallet daily. You just need to go into the settings and configure your payout limit. Eligius has been pretty good in my experience. I had switched to eligius last night and received my payoff .79btc to my blockchain wallet after ~26 hours. Yes, I got put in queue payoff but because I set my auto payoff to .025, I got paid to the wallet about 12 hours after hitting the amount. That's what I recommend for auto payoff setting .025 bitcoin which should get hit in 12 hours if running OC'ed. 200 GH/s

Also, Eligius supports workers too. Just add _workername to the username (payout address) for each worker. But nothing wrong with slush's pool either. I've used that at times and I'm using that as my primary backup now.

Did you get contacted saying that your hosted miners were ready or what? I haven't heard anything about it and I'm still waiting to hear back on my ticket. Just making sure I didn't get forgotten.
Nope, I PM'd sushi my pool and worker info and about 1.5 or 2 days later I found they started hashing by checking my pool.

Does anyone have the same problems?
As I've been told internet there were connecting problems on my hosting place, so I once lost 12 hours of mining and then hashing isn't very stable, getting warnings of hashrate drops all day. Sometimes miners switch to backup pools, sometimes just loose some minutes of mining.

I think, that Sushi fixed the problem. I had the same problem with my miners, but now all of them work good at 180 Gh speed. Confg. namecoin Announcements: My Eligius page is now live, and some options are implemented, including namecoin mergedmining at 105% PPS! http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/mystats.php?cmd=options

Just a general comment that may be related to the issues you're having with these hosted Antminer S1 miners.
My Antminer S1 came in, I ran it for many hours stock speed, I then OC'ed it to 375MHz first, then went to 400MHz after a few more hours. What I found was that if the cooling is not enough, I will get ASIC's that turn to xx's. If I plug too much stuff to the same surge protector, I may or may not get xx's. Last night, it got a little warm in the room because I closed the windows next to the miner with just a little opening (as it was a little chilly Southern California weather) and I also dropped the walmart fan speed (again thinking the cooler night temperature would compensate). I got the most number of xx's I've seen yet, but the hash rate was fine, but it made me nervous, I quickly downgraded to stock speed, rebooted, and xx's gone, OC'ed to 375MHz after 5 minutes and got 2 xx's immediately, so dropped down again to stock speed and waited an hour before attempting to OC.
It has been up for 10 hours with no xx's and running at 400MHz, 200GH/s performance. Antminer is solid, it's stable, but it has to be provided the right cooling and power. Running the walmart fan at full speed versus middle speed only added 9watts per the killawatt display, so I'm not dropping that walmart fan speed again.
I can just imagine the temperature at the hosted site and the power load with all of these ants in the room... fwiw.

400MHz, 200GH/s what the total draw and how efficient is your psu? Corsair CX750M, Bronze certified, Up to 85% efficient. Antminer S1 OC'ed 400MHz + Linksys ddwrt router + walmart fan full blast = 461W (according to the killawatt the surge protector is plugged-in to). 452W if walmart fan is dropped to middle setting. Correction, I see 498W right now. I don't know where I saw it was 461W. Medium setting on the walmart fan puts it back down to 489W.

UPS has apparently lost my shipment of two S1 miners. They made it to my local UPS hub, but disappeared after that (no scanning activity since January 3). UPS is going to open an "investigation," but this is pretty discouraging. I've received hundreds of UPS packages over the years, and have never had them lose anything until now. I wanted to post this here in case anyone else has had a similar tragic experience

Sorry to hear about your lost package. UPS lost my shipment of two S1's. Re: the investigation - the UPS rep I spoke to said that the receiver can open an investigation, but that you cannot make any claims for reimbursement unless the sender also requests one. I was assured that, even if the investigation is initiated by the receiver, the sender can still request the investigation later. I'm not fully clear on whether we'll even be eligible to receive any compensation if the packages remain lost, but you might want to ask that UPS start an investigation. For what it's worth, my UPS investigation has been ongoing since Tuesday morning, and I have not yet gotten any updates from them. They told me this process can take 8 business days. I PM'ed sushi about this and he told me he will ask the Bitmain shipping people to make a claim about the lost packages also. Hope that helps.

Am seeing a lot of HW errors when i overclock it to 400. I also see a lot of X's but the my pool shows that it is hashing atleast at 188 - 190 GH/s. Any suggestions what might be the issue.
But at 375, it works like a charm with Fan speed at 2300 and temps (45 / 48). No X's at all.
My setup consists of :
I have added a 60 CFM fan at the other end of the S1 to pull the hot air. Corsair CX 750M (powering just the S1 + 1 X 120 MM Fan)

Have you tried blowing a fan directly on it. The over clocking isn't very stable anyway but temperature would be the biggest factor that you could control. My temps are in the 30s but it's not over clocked.

My temps are in the 30s but it's not over clocked. TEMPS: they seem fine - my units run at 48/47, 51/50, and 54/53 (the last one is from the very first batch) at 400MHz FAN: adding the second fan is good, sucking air out is ideal PSU: plenty of power, +12V@62A is far more than enough to run at 400MHz (roughly 500-550W) my suggestions: 1) what is your pool? check if its sending high/low difficulty that isnt optimal to your 200GH 2) enough power wiring? you should use 3+ and 3- lines per blade. more is overkill for a corsair wiring and less may cause issues 3) add small heatsinks to the large grey inductor blocks. they get fairly hot and a little bit of extra cooling for them may help prevent ripples or other 12V power effects 4) sometimes the unit puts things to 'x' arbitrarily or deactivates chips during config changes or during any outtages. REBOOT the unit at 400MHz and see if its fixed. You shouldnt be having issues at 400MHz imho

I have managed to get my temps down to 35c on each chip by placing miner outside and making waterproof system then setup link over power over Ethernet.
I have found now uses 30% less power! and mines with only 30HW error in 7 days.
Average air temp outside is min: 1c max:9c
I am happy with results

Just wondering if anyone has thought about making a private Antminer Pool ?
rewards would be much higher than a current big pool, I have seen many new pools start to make bitcoins every day and thought why not give it a go ?
anyone have the knowledge off a pool creation system ? maybe P2Pool ?

How could that be? The power draw is surely for computation with a by-product of heat as a result??? 35c is very low and pointless otherwise....

My PSU's were running very hot when I had internal now external they are running so cold and more efficient, I will back up my evidence with proof and show colder temp VS warmer with power consumption. I was amazed at the difference myself! When I had these internal chips ran at 47c with fan rpm 1570 currently fan is running 600rpm with almost zero noise

Nope I just always power on the second blade first, then the first blade that has the control board I am buying a power distribution panel that can turn on and off individual outlets from a web page, and can measure power usage This way if the antminers ever act up, I can reboot them remotely And I want to know how much power they are using. I know server power supplies are usually very efficient, and can run at 90-100% load for a very long time

I think sushi is having trouble setting hosted miners to overclock. Mine (2) have been hashing for a week now with no overclock, missing out on almost .1 btc because of it. This sucks sushi. Please get it together on your customer service, especially when it comes to hosting. I know I am not the only one being affected. Please others chime in here. Sushi recently PM'd me that he was having trouble getting miners to overclock, has this been other peoples' experience with this batch of Antminers? YES! but your warranty will be void.... Greetings Sushi,
if i order one will you overclock it for me?

I think sushi is having trouble setting hosted miners to overclock. Mine (2) have been hashing for a week now with no overclock, missing out on almost .1 btc because of it.
This sucks sushi. Please get it together on your customer service, especially when it comes to hosting. I know I am not the only one being affected. Please others chime in here.

+1 No offense intended, but really? A quality ISP will provide you with an SLA and make retributions for downtime. A bargain basement price cable/dsl provider obviously won't have any SLA. Sushi's hosting I am sure has many layers to it, and the risk you took by getting cheap hosting is.... well cheap hosting THIS! And some of you want to OC a hosted ANT? What happens if it locks up? I wonder what 12V power they provide, as OC success a lot of times is directly related to quality of the incoming power... (source: I own 9 ANTs and host them myself...)

The next group buy will have Mining Time Guarantee Protection for Physical Delivery and for Hosting, but hosting price will not be as discount as it used to be.
Over Clocking will be an option to select at the time of sign up and it will start as OC Ant, however, Hosting Fee and PSU fee will be slightly higher as OC Ants need Gold Cert PSU with 20% more power consumption and higher personal attention time as it will need a few power cycle every so often.
Regular hashing Ants without the mining guarantee will enjoy the discounted hosting price and hosting will start sooner than UPS Delivery Time to your door!
And discounted price will be available as well, but there will be a fee for me to take all the abuse!!!

Well, i don't like to whine, but here is my experience that i want to share. First i ordered two units on 10 dec for 4.25 btc, and i can't receive package because of local ups/customs asking additional docs that i can't obtain, so miners likely to be sended back (or even destroyed!) Sushi stated, that they can be a subject of china high import fees if returned. So now they are like "schrodinger's miners" between russia and china customs and i don't know yet if that 8.5btc would return to me at least partially, not even to say about ROI. Second, i ordered on 25 dec another 2 miners for 3.15 btc from this GB with hosting option to partially compensate previous fail. Now i think that it was the second fail in a row, as hosting still not started! I already trying to communicate with sushi, and last reply regarding this question was on 7 jan where he asks me to supply pool/worker info (i re-sended the email with that info 3 times already, still no reply and no workers connected to the pool!). In general, i understand that in the first case he sended units in time and customs issues is out of his responsibility. But it would be good if he at least try to offer some kind of workaround, as all benefits of early shipping is lost with the price of 4.25 btc per unit that is still not received. And current situation with hosting is only makes the things worse.

Wow, returned goods are usually not subject to import duty. Have the units not been returned yet? What documents did customs want? As for the 25th december order you should get a refund or a partial refund adjusted to when the units start hashing.

Have you also opened a ticket on sushi-review.com? It helps to hit all communication routes.

This all sounds very reasonable. However, we as hosting customers just want to receive what was promised according to the group buy at the time. I don't think this is too much to ask. I know you are working hard to do a great job for everyone, but you have to be mindful of weaknesses in your process such as this and make adjustments like you have suggested will make future group buys run that much more smooth and you won't have to deal with this kind of stuff. I see that my units have just stopped mining, hopefully issue is being resolved.

It was made specifically know that hosted Antminers could be overclocked. Are you saying that sushi's hosting is not quality and that we were taking a risk by using it? In making the decision to host w/ sushi, we all took into account his long standing reliability and customer service in choosing the service, which is why it is hard to believe these kinds of situations have occurred. I am confident that sushi will do the right thing for his customers affected, and I will probably choose his service again (electricity is 2X avg rate where I live) as long as all goes well with the current issues.

My Miner stopped too.. I did not ask for overclock BTW. Sushi, what is the holdback? It is very tough to get ROI as is - in fact most I am hoping for is to get my BTC back..
