Which coin will be the best investment for 2014? (Newb Edition)

Thought I'd start one of these up as I'm not allowed into the big boy forum yet  

Also genuinely interested to see what the new kids on the block are keen to buy into.

Give it a vote! I've set it up so you have to vote before you can view the results. I've pulled the top 15 currencies off coinmarketcap to fill the options, if there are multiple requests for another coin to be added then I'll throw it into the fray! (I can do that right?)

I realise these polls usually turn into pick whichever coin you hold the most of but regardless it should be interesting, though lets try avoid long promotional posts telling us why your coin is the absolute shizzle.

I'd say Litecoin, given it is the most popular. In theory it should be nearer 1/4th the value of BTC as time goes on, so it has plenty of room for growth. Although it is basically a carbon-copy of BTC so its value is going to be tied to big brother, proportionately. Let's hope it's a good year for both.

Another interesting get for speculators is Dogecoin. If the joke doesn't get old, someone could put in a relatively low amount of FIAT and see it grow 2-3 times in a very short period. I wouldn't gamble with house money on that one though.

I'm mining Doge currently, certainly interesting - dubbed the first 'memecoin' no one really knows what's going to happen with it! I totally agree though I'm not putting my hard cash down on it...

I just think it's going to be a home run success. Especially, since the Chinese are about to start buying it. I know... I know.. it IS a stupid meme coin BUT damn it has to have the most passionate community behind it by far! And guess what this game is all about? Social media p2p marketing.

As cliche as it sounds, I think the passion of the community, combined with the addictive nature of the meme's growing culture/story - in addition to the market cap of 100 billion (which I think is a huge advantage)... will give Doge a considerable advantage in this crazy ass race.

A) first scrypt dedicated mining solutions should arrive to the market
B) mt.gox will eventually add it
C) it's far behind its 0.25 LTC/BTC ideal ratio

2014 will be the year of BTC, so I'd say Bitcoin. I'm also hoping to see Feathercoin rise. If it goes back to its high of $1+, I'll be happy, but I'm thinking it'll go even higher at some point.
