Hey everybody. I'm an illustrator and comic book artist looking to dip my toes into the whole bitcoin economy. You can see my profile and some of my art by visiting my website.

I've been taking commission online and at conventions for a couple of years now, and I thought it'd be a fun way to take bitcoin for a test drive. I'll start making more of my art prints and books available for order as I get accustomed to things and find a merchant solution that I'm comfortable with.

I do two sizes of commissions, both on bleed-proof Borden and Riley paper. A 6x9 for $20 and a 9x12 for $40. I'll waive shipping and handling and just divide the total by the current Bitcoin to USD exchange rate (according to Mt. Gox) to figure out the final price. I'll draw most anything you want minus nudity, gore, caricatures and portraits. I'm totally happy to do penguins.

You have two options for ordering. You can order through my website here or you can email me (brandondaytonATgmail.com) with your order.

Here are a couple of links to samples of commissions I've done in the past.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I really dig your take on Splinter.  Been thinking about doing commission art myself, please post if you have had results / buyers.

Not anything yet. I think what I'm selling is pretty niche.

It is interesting that all of the responses I've had so far have been from users with porn connections. I guess that means I do okay at drawing pinups.

If you'd like to make a smaller contribution, I've also added the last post of my blog to youtipit.org

You can now order commissions with bitchin' "Buy With Bitcoin" buttons. Big thanks to Bitcoin Evolution for making a super slick and easy way to accept Bitcoin.
