Hi, I am going to buy some gpu's to mine with.

I want to spend £700-£800 in total on building the rig.

Currently the price:

Note: I WILL BE USING ASROCK EXTREME4 970 MOBO Cheesy

For 1 NEW 280x ≈ 700K/Hash = £240

For 1 NEW 7850 ≈ 380K/Hash = £95

For 1 NEW 7950 ≈ 650K/Hash = £140

Should I buy

2x 280x = 1400K/Hash = £480

or

5x 7850 = 1900K/Hash = £475

or

3x 7950 = 1950K/Hash = £420 - These are the Sapphire Radeon 3GB Cards! - Will this get me over 700K/Hash??? - If this gets me over 700K/Hash i'll buy these

If you are looking to save money then forget the 5 card config. That one will need two power supplies or a really big expensive one.

So then you go for the 3x7950. Best bang for the buck. Get an 850watt PS that will do or better get a 1050 corsair just to make sure. Next month you expand the rig with another 3 identical cards and an additional 850w ps.

My suggestion would be build to expand. When you save slots for more cards you can add hash in the future. After building several miners this is my biggest regret.
