Protoshare is the most profitable at the moment, then Quarkcoin then Primecoin.

I can, but only if Catcoin mining is most profitable

I'm mining primecoin, but only on machines I have running anyway.

Mostly because I don't know how dafuq protoshares are meant to work, it's all arm wavy blue sky maybes, quarkcoin looks scammy and primecoin looks like it might actually do something useful.

But they both are scrypt based, so no reason to mine them on CPUs. For CPU Skeincoin was really good for last month. It use Skein algo. It wasn't available on exchanges, and there were only about 100 miner, so could have like 50% of coins with 100+ cores (you could just set you own price on market with such amount of coins). But now it has GPU miner as well
