Hi everyone,

me and my partner are investing in a mining rig based on this site http://www.cryptobadger.com/build-your-own-litecoin-mining-rig/(may just start with 1 gpu for a test run). My question is are there any modifications i need to do this setup to achieve greater efficiency? And i have been running possible scenarios on coinwarz.com and I want to know when i start mining other currency should i go ahead and mine by myself or join a pool?  And do i have to download other miner programs for all coins or do they somehow just keep switching to different coins?

If any of this didnt make sense please tell me

Thank you
Hank Hill

every coin worth of mining have diff so high that there is no point solo mining, specially not with one gpu.
so mine on the pool.
use bfgminer for all coins that you want to mine, just use different pool settings.
miner doesn't switch coins automatically but you can use automatic switching pool to mine most profitable coin. see here multipool.us
note that BTC and LTC are main coins, and all other coins are not so stable like btc and ltc and their value is jumping and falling on hour basis.
I would stick wit LTC if I was you.

Thank you for your quick response do you think if i follow this guide http://www.cryptobadger.com/build-your-own-litecoin-mining-rig/ it would be a good starting point? if so do also advise joining a pool or solo mining?

Thanks once again.

Some tips:
1. coinwarz.com & coinchoose.com provides info about the most protifitable coins.
2. Instead of manually switching, use multipool.us or middlecoin.com. They have best algorithms and they will do the auto switch and mine the profitable coin.
3. When the difficulty level is less then do solo mining otherwise go for pool mining

That mining guide is good, go ahead with the setup.
