It's just a display bugs. The bitcoins are actually credited to the other account in realtime.

I'm not sure I should be joining this thread but I'm having the same problem.

Fri 26 Aug 2011 01:53:26 AM GMT    Withdraw    Bitcoin withdraw pending (to 13metUBSG8YJh2ttYNKe8zXL6T8odLXGB8)

Still nothing - anyone else having problems?

They really need to let people know that it takes a long time to get funds out of MtGox.

Any trading opportunities are rapidly vanishing!

Why clutter the ticket system?
Did you not read MagicalTux's post? In case you didn't know, he runs Mt. Gox.

Start your bitcoin client and you will see the coins instantly show up in the wallet
(though 6 confirmations will be needed until you can use them)

I withdrew 2 times today and it showed 'pending', yet the funds appeared instantly.

My bitcoin client is running.

There are still no deposits showing.

I've received other deposits to the same address just fine.

Another problem I'm having is that two of the address that I sent the coins to expires in around 72 hours.

I'm beginning to worry now.

Hm.. I just tested a 0.02 Gox withdraw and it showed up in a few seconds.

Do you have all latest blocks downloaded?
If your connections are low they might not be updating at all.

-addnode 173.224.125.222 will connect Mt. Gox node to the client.

If you are exploiting arbitrage opportunities on tradehill etc. with disposable addresses,
those transfers will only show up after 6 confirmations
(which can take from 1 hour to even 8-12 hours depending on network block discovery speed)

I'm currently on block 142722 in my Bitcoin client.

I had another transaction placed after my MtGox transactions and they've come through with 203 confirmations so far.

6 transactions were placed.

2 Went to another exchange and 4 went to my personal bitcoin wallet.

None of the 6 transactions have shown up yet in either location.

The ones to my own wallet obviously won't be a problem as there's no time limit on those.

I received an email saying "Our help desk is experiencing unusually high traffic currently. We regret to inform you that you will experience some delays (currently 48-72 hrs) in us getting back to you."
At least this is a small amount <10 BTC. I'm not sure how bitcoin transfer can get stuck this way, but at least it isn't any slower than a bank transfer. Dwolla takes about 5-8 days.

Mt.Gox Support Aug-26 • Support / Outages

Mt.Gox Users,

Many users have been seeing issues with their Bitcoin withdrawals not being processed instantly. The withdrawals are currently listed as pending in their accounts. The management team is currently investigating the system for any bugs. As soon as it is resolved, all pending transfers will be processed. It is estimated that a fix to this bug will be found within the next 24 hours. Thank you for being patient in the meantime.

Thanks,

MtGox.com Team

It's been over 24 hours so far which isn't in itself a problem as things take time to fix but two of my destination addresses aren't going to exist in less than 48 hours so I'm a little worried :/

It looks like there will be another update in a few hours.

That's no use to me now as the addresses that coins were being sent to are no longer valid.

Mtgox will need to make good on these transactions.

Apparently fund withdrawals may not be cancelled - well that's no use if the receiving address no longer exists!

What happens to bitcoins that get sent to an expired address? Can these still be recovered?
