My next move is mining some easy alt-coins, let's say like 10 types and watch for each evolution of the 10 types, sell a percent (maybe, 30, 40, 50%) of them when they are up and buy the same quantity when they are low...

This strategy makes sence, but expect once in a while you will be left with worthless alt-coin, so dont buy back more coins than you sold, regardless of very low price
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

It's not much different than trading penny stocks actually.  Most will become worthless or near worthless.  Every now and then you will get lucky and maybe 1/2 will amount to something.  Remember, there's usually a reason something is selling for 1 cent, or even less than a cent, it's probably worth it! Sell very low.
Watch market collapse.
Panic re-buy when the prices are very low because of collapse.

I am not a clever man

This. lol.

the best in the past was: buy and hold.

Not best, but easiest. You also have to sell sometimes, so best is when price is ATH

Will BTC have gone UP or DOWN from 780$ until Monday?! Make your predictions, we need them! And the one with the most exact precise and correct prediction will get a small BTC donation from me, but don't expect much Tongue

Start date: 12/28
End date: 12/30

I would do this, too. It's a good start, esp for those who do not want to take high risk with btc fluctuation.

I think the op is really interested to get decent opinions from members.

My strategy would be to keep between 800 to 850. And sell it when it goes above.

Your option is right. Go ahead. Bitcoin in future rise above 1000$. You may hit higher profits.

I sell tiny fractions at many different points on the way up, and buy tiny fractions at many different points on the way down. As I read elsewhere recently: Biggest noob mistake is putting everything on one (or two) trades.

I also keep a spreadsheet of all my trades, to keep very close eye on my average buy-in price over set periods. So I know at a glance if I'm 14% up, or 82% down.

I use the same strategy on LTC/BTC, LTC/USD, NMC/BTC, NVC/USD, XPM/BTC.

This is a good method, since we can't predict the future.

Its a good idea to drop at 850 or at least below 1000. Once it passes the 1000 psychological level, we never know what monkey cake fiasco levels Bitcoin will reach and selling would be a missed train...

Dumping at around 820-860 sounds like a swell idea at this point especially if you got on board originally at the sub $200 level anyways.

I'am. Thank's for that! Smiley
Any thoughts on when it should reach above? 3 days or 2 weeks? Smiley

Ok, no more prediction's. End Date, i don't know about you but i mad money and i sold yesterday making profit.

The most helpful prediction was "Its a good idea to drop at 850 or at least below 1000. Once it passes the 1000 psychological level, we never know what monkey cake fiasco levels Bitcoin will reach and selling would be a missed train...

Psychological barriers really only count much first time around, they're very weak when crossed previously, next biggie is $2000, but $1500 could be significant.

Also it's very different from when we basically only had one big dominant exchange (Mt Gox). Nowadays it's less significant if only ONE exchange reaches a breakthrough price. It's not really that significant unless 2 or 3 of them do.
