Hello, everyone! I've been reading Bitcoin forums for years now and figured I'd actually get involved with the community.

I first read about Bitcoins wayyyy back in 2009, I was 16 years old. I am basically what most would refer to as an "early adopter". After hearing about Bitcoins on an unrelated forum, I decided to mine them for fun and see what it was all about. My video card at the time was the amazing AMD(or was it ATI at the time?) 5970. After leaving it over night as I went to bed, I woke up to a couple thousand coins in my wallet. I didn't think much of it of course, I didn't even know they were worth anything, let alone a fraction of a penny. From there I just mined whenever I wasn't at the computer because I liked seeing the numbers go up, lol. Anyway, my video card blew out when I hit over 100k and that was that. It was the family computer, so it didn't go down well...anyway, fast forward to today and these things are worth quite a lot! I'm too scared to day trade them, so I just hold onto them. My family doesn't know that I have them and that at this point I can cash out in the millions. I sold some and basically live off them, but things would go south real quick if they knew. Today I am 20 and am currently attending university majoring in computer science.

Soo, what are your guys' stories?

Wow nice to be you. I'm glad you did well but you might not want to say too much about how much you have. Keep it low key. Keep what you have safe. You should look at your options quietly. Trust no one.

I don't want to start any problems..... Sad

But anyway, I just like to stay busy. Also it's tough, you know? People find out about your wealth and they change. I confided in ONE person, he won a small lottery when he was young. It was for a couple hundred thousand, but back in the 70s that's quite a lot. He said his whole family changed towards him and essentially became his entourage. Friends disappeared and those who were around were just there for money. As much as I'd like an exotic car that gets 11-MPG city miles, I'm afraid it will just attract the wrong attention.

I didn't mean to be negative. I think it's great that you did so well. It's inspiring. You do need to be careful though. I hope you find someone who can be trusted.
