Hello,
I just wrote an article about the biggest news to come out of the Bitcoin Conference.
Tell me what you think  Smiley

Personally, I was very disappointed in the conference. I think that there were a lot of big promises made, yet I didn't see much come of it. I think it's a good start but there's plenty of room left for the conference to grow!

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Convert a casino to use bitcoins for a night?
Now THAT would be a conference.

That there'd be Bitcoin conferences in 2012 shouldn't have surprised anyone so it doesn't really qualify as a "big announcement" in my book.

How interesting the 2013 cruise will be will depend a lot on whether it's a floating convention restricted to Bitcoin participants or whether they're just going to make a group booking on a normal cruise and try to hold a conference in that context.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Paying for everything would be a mess and could make the food line hours long. Smiley

Sarcasm, my dear Wink
I was merely pointing out, in a whimsical manner, that barely any real announcements came out of the Bitcoin Conference.

1) Why organize a convention witch is all about the fact that there coming more conventions?!!??
2) Bruce can better push this cruise money into his mainstream ad he announced a couple of months ago, seems a better goal to me.

Could anyone go to the conference in the area? Seems like a bust as this is the biggest news. I am sure their where interesting things talked about ,but was there anything important for the future?
